The Relationship Manager will be reporting into the Digital, Tech & Comms (DT&C) segment within Citi's Commercial Bank and will be focused on banking privately held emerging-growth software companies that are VC-backed Series A or later-stage US-headquartered companies with revenues between $10 million and $100 million.
Growth in this segment is based on a prudent and organized approach to client selection and capital allocation to ensure we are developing strong relationships with clients who seek Citi’s unique value proposition based on our global platform and sophisticated product set, including the investment banking services offered through the bank’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG). For the day-to-day banking, the vast majority of DT&C clients use CitiDirect, Citibank's web-based global banking platform that supports a full range of transaction and reporting capabilities in a secure environment.
Success requires a skill set and experience that allows the bank to offer customers and prospects more complex products and customized transaction structures. Our Relationship Managers are responsible for evaluating and meeting clients’ needs by efficiently utilizing the bank’s resources across the globe. They work closely with partners in Cash Management, FX trading and Credit Risk to conduct in-depth analysis and customize solutions. This role is part of the COO Operations & Technology Transformation team. The COO organization is leading the most critical regulatory & transformation efforts for Citi's CEO, influencing the strategy & direction of Citigroup.
As an Operations and Technology Quality Control Specialist, the role will execute the quality control process by assessing the attributes of risk identification, risk mitigation, root cause analysis, controls design, controls implementation, and controls testing for the technology and operations regulatory commitments.
Excellent communication skills required to influence a wide range of users. Strong Technology Risk Management experience and expertise is required. Prior experience in 2nd or 3rd Lines of defense in the Technology Risk Management or Technology Audit are highly desired for this 1st Line of Defense role.
In-depth knowledge of the industry and peer institutions products/services is highly preferred to contribute to the objectives of the functions. The role requires a thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the larger COO organization, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise.
