Duties & Responsibilities

• In charge of Indirect Material sourcing/procurement, perform vendor selection, evaluation and monitoring.
• Coordinate with internal & external parties (e.g. vendors, transporters, shipping agents, forwarders etc.) on the indirect material requirement planning until goods delivery. Ensure accurate goods receipt in system and monitoring inventory.
• Coordinate and verify vendors’ delivery and billings documents to ensure matching process smoothly done in SAP system. Monitor progress payment purchases especially for those engineering projects without disruption.
• Ensure all procurement activities and documentations are in accordance with the departmental procedures. Maintain proper control of records for quotations/ contracts and parts/products specification.
• Resolve SAP issues which related to procurement module in timely manner.
• Set yearly KPI and initiate cost saving projects for Indirect Material which align with department yearly target.
• Work out baseline and stretch plan for yearly and monthly basis in order to monitor saving result. Submit monthly cost saving report/result to superior for verification and record. 
• Ensure all procurement activities are consistently complying with local statutory and regulatory requirements (custom, MIDA and MITI).
• Liaise with MIDA & Customs office for application of import duty exemption for maintenance spare parts, equipment, IP Project items and other raw materials.
• Any other such duties assigned by superior or Management as and when required.
• To maintain a safe working environment with awareness and knowledge of site EHS standards and ensure compliance with local, state and federal EHS regulations.
• To perform any other ad-hoc task as and when required by the superior.

Requirements

• Candidate should possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Supply Chain Management or equivalent with at least 3 years related working experience in the manufacturing environment.
• Good negotiation and interpersonal skills, resourceful, committed, highly effective and work under minimum supervision, dynamic and results oriented. 
• Experience and knowledge in SAP system,
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel.

1. Responsible for the procurement activities of the assigned materials which include:
a. Responsible as main interface with more complex customer / product with effective coordination internally in addressing issues.
b. Coordinate material simulation activities to meet customer order fluctuation.
c. Study and take appropriate actions on the MRP reports after the MRP run.
d. Provide input/updates on material delivery related issues.
e. Ensure good material planning and expedite the right materials for smooth production.
f. Update critical parts list daily.
g. Attend daily operation meeting and attend task force calls on critical supply materials.
h. Coordinate activities with relevant parties to avoid line stoppage if the right material cannot arrive on time
i. Track and monitor supplier delivery performance.
2. Constantly review the planning parameters according to business trend.
3. Responsible to support the activities on inventory management to achieve monthly coverage and inventory turns including quick disposition on rejected and obsolete materials, minimize overhanging materials, work on overhanging materials claims etc.
4. Strategic planning to minimize special premium cost (e.g. change of ship mode) to support situation requirement.
5. Work on special freight claims and line-down claims due to delinquent supply from suppliers.
6. Procure new part releases.
7. Determine implementation dates of ECN (Engineering Change Notice) of both materials and software.
8. Prepare report e.g. ABC analysis, inventory report etc. as and when needed.
9. Support activities related to Bosch Production System (BPS), e.g. Supplier Kanban for continuous improvement.
10. Able to share knowledge, guide and lead junior Planners in their daily tasks.
11. Work together and support each other within LOG as well as other department.
12. Support and work towards achieving the departmental goal.
13. Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
14. Escalate procurement issues that affect a single Value Stream (Level 1).
