As a Bridge Management Specialist, this position is responsible for enforcement of bridge laws, regulations and orders.  Your assignments will include all bridge administration functions where the majority of the work involves very large and very complex bridge construction, modification, alteration, and drawbridge regulations projects.

As an Air Traffic Control Specialist (Terminal) (Title 5), GS-2152-11, you will perform the below duties:

1. Performs air traffic control duties in the control tower. Directs movement of aircraft in flight and on the ground by utilizing pilot and controller reports, visual observation, and/or tower displays, or a combination of methods and in close coordination with other controllers. under restrictive time and space limitations, formulates and issues ATC clearances and instructions to provide for the required separation and or sequencing of all IFR and VFR traffic within delegated airspace. Assigns arrival and departure runways to various types of aircraft and adjusts speed to accommodate multiple types and performance level of civilian and military aircraft to affect separation and expeditious traffic flow as prescribed by regulation. Provides assistance to both experienced professional and inexperienced student pilots within the airspace and ensures expeditious traffic flows are maintained. 2. Executes the standardized ATC training program in accordance with guidelines established by regulations of the Department of Army (DA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Incumbent is responsible for the utilization of training materials that ensure controller-trainees are adequately trained and tested with the goal of creating a cohesive ATC team that provides multi-level ATC services to the aviation customer. Incumbent ensures all newly assigned trainees receive training in accordance with applicable regulations. Incumbent executes controller qualification, proficiency, and remedial training. Completion of training results in newly assigned personnel receiving their Control Tower Operator (CTO) certifications within prescribed time limits or elimination actions that require documentation of performance deficiencies. Duties of a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) include but are not limited to the following:

• Lifecycle management of all medical systems such as imaging, life support, dialysis, and monitoring to include physical and network support.

Serves as a product manufacturing technical expert and advisor for the development of?additive manufactured components in accordance with new and changing technical requirements as well as understanding and complying to medical device manufacturing guidelines and regulations per FDA, ISO and AAMI standards.
i. Capable of learning new technology, identify trends, and have the ability to communicate this information in an advisory capacity to administrative, clinical, and technical staff as well as implement the information learned.
j. Prepares oral and written communication in forms of documentation and presentations. Documentation will include the preparation of technical, informational, analytical, and graphical documentation.
k. Knowledge of the medical equipment management plan, must have the ability to participate in medical device hazard investigations, and assure compliance with patient safety goals as needed.
l. Independent research and additive manufacturing project management.
m. Knowledge of organizational concepts and an understanding of operational needs.
n. Duties or projects typically include facility-based work and may include VISN or VHA OHIL projects in alignment with Advanced Manufacturing.
o. Create, implement and verify/validate processes within an OAM Lab for imaging acquisition, segmentation, OAM model refinement, advanced manufacturing technology (i.e. 3D printing) and post processing.
p. Establishes processes for development, production, and sustainment. Phases include: process development; medical scan reconstruction; design influence for manufacturing; additive manufacturing; rapid prototyping; manufacturing technology; design of tools, fixtures, surgical guides and custom implants. Develops procedures and methods for construction of medical models, devices, and research and development (R&D) initiatives. Identifies proper materials based on requirements, dimensional tolerances, and secondary processing such as finishing.
q. Establishes and implements quality system management including quality assurance processes, process documentation/standard operating procedures; process control; quality control, quality acceptance test planning and conduct; destructive and non-destructive testing; and inspection. Designs, sets up and conducts testing of items or systems during the R&D, production, and sustainment phases.
