SALARY RANGE: RM4000 - RM5500
A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to assist and support the Senior Manager, Compliance & Governance and Head of Department, based in Wisma Tune, KL with the following:
Governance Oversight
- Assist to implement and maintain effective governance structures, policies, and processes to ensure organisational compliance with laws and regulations.
- Assist to provide advice and support to senior leadership and departments on governance issues.
- Assist in preparing board papers for governance and compliance, including review documentation of minutes and ensuring timely reporting on governance matters.
- Assist to deal with regulators, law enforcement agencies, external stakeholders, consultants, etc for governance matters.
- Assist to promote culture of governance and integrity in preparation for IPO listing requirements.
Compliance Management
- Assist to develop, review, and enforce compliance policies and procedures in line with legal requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Assist to monitor and report on the company’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls, including compliance and non-compliance matters.
- Assist to conduct periodic compliance review and assessment to identify areas of improvement and potential compliance risks.
- Assist to collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance training is provided to all relevant personnel.
- Assist in compliance assessment, regulatory compliance research & reporting.
Compliance Risk Management
- Assist to identify, assess, and report on governance and compliance risks, ensuring that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Assist to conduct compliance gap analysis review and prepare reports.
- Assist to work closely with Group Risk Management and other teams (e.g., Legal, Audit, Finance) to develop compliance risk mitigation strategies, especially for Corruption Risk Assessment.
- Keep up to date with developments in laws, regulations and governance trends to ensure the company remains compliant with emerging standards regionally.
- Assist to maintain a compliance repository.
Regulatory Reporting & Liaison
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings and other required reports or documents to authorities (where required).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors for governance and compliance matters.
- Respond to inquiries and regulatory investigations, providing necessary documentation and reports.
Training & Awareness
- Assist to develop and implement training programs to ensure that employees are aware of governance and compliance policies and their responsibilities.
- Assist to lead workshops, seminars, or other awareness campaigns related to governance and compliance matters.
Continuous Improvement
- Regularly assess and improve governance and compliance processes to align with industry best practices.
- Analyze the effectiveness of compliance programs and propose improvements where necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a governance, compliance, or risk management role for Senior Executive role.
- Graduates in Law / Accounting degrees are preferred.
- Familiarity or interest in corporate governance principles and practices.
