Main Duties

To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of Nursing care which meets the individuals needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated staff nurse to join our established and friendly nurse led team at the Hayes Renal Satellite Unit.

Hayes Renal Unit is a purpose built, haemodialysis unit with 24 stations, based in a tree lined street opposite the Beck Theatre in Hayes. There is free car parking available for staff.

We are open from 07.00hrs until 23.30hrs 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). We work a variety of shifts including long and short day shifts and long and short twilight shifts. The successful candidate is, therefore, expected to be flexible and able to work all shift patterns to accommodate the service needs.

You do not need to have haemodialysis experience as we offer on-site training .We are part of Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust and staff have access to all the training facilities they offer, this includes the renal course.

A client within the Public Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer to join their food safety team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a regulatory environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to ensure that food manufactured, prepared, exported, imported, and offered for sale in the County complies with safety and hygiene requirements by working with the food industry and where necessary taking enforcement action.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• carrying out a range of interventions including advice and education, inspection/audit of food businesses using a risk-based system, investigating complaints about food and the hygiene of food premises, sampling of food for local, regional or national initiatives/surveillance
• issuing export certificates and other attestations to enable business to export their products outside the UK and where appropriate carrying out controls on imported foodstuffs
• responding to reports from the Food Standards Agency and other local authorities regarding foodstuffs that fail to comply with food law, investigating food fraud and other criminality linked to food.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a degree in Environmental Health and be a qualified Environmental Health Officer registered by the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB).

• Investigative, analytical, and interpretative skills to comprehend and enforce the requirements of legislation and guidance.
• Ability to use expert regulatory services opinion to provide practical and innovative solutions to complex legal or service delivery issues.

Epsom & St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is an Associated Teaching Hospital of St. George’s University of London and plays a significant role in medical student teaching. Nominally the post is
for one year but there is flexibility according to career progression.
This post offers an ideal opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of Clinical Dermatology or other Clinical Specialties (detailed in the job description), whilst pursuing clinical audit and research projects , with opportunities to present cases and papers both regionally and nationally. In parallel,the successful candidate is expected to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Education at St. George’s, University of London(based on seat availability ), and will coordinate the
Medicine/Medical Specialties undergraduate programme.Our preference would be applicants who have completed the core training and are planning to apply for NTNs in the next two years. The Undergraduate Centre runs a pioneering and thriving undergraduate teaching team including
other Clinical Teaching Fellows spanning the medical and surgical specialties. MRCP is preferred but not essential.



This innovative full-time teaching post provides an opportunity to develop teaching skills and continue to develop your career in dermatology or any sub-specialty medicine. Approximately 50 % of the timetable will be allocated to teaching and 50 % to clinical training. The Undergraduate Centre runs a pioneering and thriving undergraduate teaching team which includes Clinical Teaching Fellows in different specialties.

The successful applicant will plan and deliver teaching in a variety of formats including:

· Clinical skills/bedside teaching

· Assisting/complementing consultant teaching

They will also be required to do Work Based Assessments and participate in OSCE examinations. He/she will organise and co-ordinate the teaching programme in Medicine for St George’s University of London medical students/other partner universities/International students and that will include T Year, P Year, Final Year and also Physician Associate students. Some cross cover for other Clinical Teaching Fellows will also be expected.
The format of teaching will be tailored to suit individual year group and also cater to the learning requirements and objectives as set out by the Medical Schools.He/she will be expected not to take annual leave at times of the year when there are important teaching duties like student inductions. They also need to ensure that appropriate room bookings are done and be available in the teaching centre to facilitate teaching sessions booked within their area of responsibility for consultants/ other faculty during times when the undergraduate room booking co-ordinator is on leave.
Training in teaching methods will be provided. The successful applicant will be invited toundertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Education (based on seat availability)and will be eligible for an Honorary Lectureship at St. George’s University of London.
Although the post is based at St Helier Hospital, the post holder will be expected to teach at all sites within the Trust and also occasionally at St George’s Hospital.This role may also require to plan, organise and facilitate OSCES both as part of the students final assessment for their core rotations at Epsom and also for the Trust’s involvement with OSCE Workshops. There are also possibilities to support the FY1 teaching programme if required or for occasional weekend or evening teaching in conjunction with promotional events held but notice will be given several months in advance.

There are ample opportunities and support for Clinical Audit, research projects, presentation of cases and papers, and for writing case reports and papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Job Description

The post holder will work in an agreed area of Occupational Therapy Services, ensuring provision of quality service to service users. The post holder will work in partnership with health and social care colleagues in order to deliver clinically effective services which encompass assessment, treatment and support of people within the community, in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnerships Strategic Plan and the Council’s Community Plan.

Our fabulous Oncology and Haematology Day Treatment Unit (DTU) team, are looking for a kind, committed and motivated individual who is looking to develop their managerial skills, to join our team, where a wide range of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) are administered. OVERALL OBJECTIVES
• To assist the Nurse Manager in providing clinical and managerial leadership to all staff and with the delivery of the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) service, ensuring systems and processes are updated as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Management
• Experienced in the role of unit coordinator and with strategies for dealing with issues as they arise, with advice and support from senior staff.
• Manage the unit in the absence of the nurse manager as required.
• Provide leadership and supervision, managerial direction, and support to junior colleagues within the day unit team in the delivery of service, proactively anticipating and planning for trends whilst maintaining the cohesive team structure and effective use of resources.
• Promote effective communication between all members of the health care team to support a cohesive working environment for patients and staff.
• Demonstrate the ability to utilise different leadership and managerial styles in practice.
• To be competent in managing challenging situations that may arise, (i.e. managing conflict).

• Has completed relevant training for the Safe Handling & Administration of SACT.
• Demonstrate technical skills ensuring adherence to trust and local policies (e.g. cannulation, SACT administration, central venous catheter management, and phlebotomy).
• Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills in the management of the changing healthcare needs of the patients, responding to changes promptly and appropriately and developing specialised plans of care or follow relevant protocols in collaboration with senior nurses and with pharmacy and medical colleagues where required.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, through use of various software packages in current use (eg EPR, Aria).
• Act as a clinical role model, demonstrating expert knowledge and skills in the care of patients receiving SACT, responding to changes promptly and appropriately, developing specialised plans of care / follow relevant protocols in collaboration with other senior nurses and the multi-professional team, patients and significant others.

This is an exciting and new opportunity for two Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists to lead the way in a collaboration between Pendle West Primary Care Network (PCN) and ELHT Community Rehab. You will help to shape and integrate these new roles within primary care. Pendle West PCN covers all practices in Nelson and Brierfield and you will work alongside practice staff and other members of the PCN team including Paramedic, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Mental Health Practitioners and the Complex Care Team.



You will be based at Yarnspinners and will carry a clinical caseload across the Pendle West practices. You will have community experience with a variety of community caseload including older adults with a wide range of conditions. As part of the MDT you will clinically support and advise the team.

Working within the multidisciplinary teams, act as the clinical lead for the designated service area providing a high level of clinical expertise with regard to highly specialist assessment skills and interactions within a defined patient group.



Provide clinical leadership and intervention to a designated service area/pathway in the delivery of a highly effective, safe and personal service, ensuring the needs of individual patients/carers as described by agreed goals/outcome measures and within defined clinical pathways.
