This pivotal role involves establishing robust clinical governance systems, integrating existing mental health nurse staff into the new care model, and developing comprehensive supervision and support structures for new team members. • Conduct holistic and specialized assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage transitions in care as part of an integrated team approach
• Work closely with care agencies, interagency networks, and educators to create a supportive network, and provide consultation to care-team partners as needed
• Develop and deliver culturally appropriate and holistic services, while actively promoting and building collaborative relationships within the community 
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews, and actively engage in quality improvement activities to enhance service outcomes

EACH is the Lead Agency of the Therapeutic Alliance (TA), a consortium of community based, not-for-profit organizations who provide mental health services across the North Coast of NSW through a multidisciplinary, person centred, hub-and-spoke model of care. 

The alliance offers a range of services under the Primary Mental Health Program (PMHP), including Healthy Minds, the Mental Health Nursing Incentive Program, Youth Enhanced Services (YES), Suicide Prevention, Counselling Support, and Low Intensity Mental Health programs.

About you
To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, with at least two years of leadership experience, including direct line management and performance management 
• Demonstrated experience in formulating mental health treatment plans and implementing therapeutic approaches (e.g., DBT, ACT)
• A strong understanding of trauma’s impact on mental health in children, adolescents, and young adults
• High-quality discipline-specific practice skills, including mental state examination, crisis and risk assessment, and aftercare planning
• Minimum of four years of experience working with children, young people, and families, particularly in the context of moderate to high acuity mental health issues
• A postgraduate qualification in counselling or a related field (highly regarded)

You'll be at the forefront of managing engagement, support, and coordination to ensure our consumers receive the care they deserve. From reviewing service demands to collaborating with allied health professionals and monitoring progress through data reports, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our services across the region.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring adherence to the Stepped Model of Care for quality service delivery
• Liaising with regional providers to enhance service coordination
• Facilitating feedback loops to enhance service delivery

With your tertiary qualifications in Practice or Business Administration Management and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a medical or health office environment, you'll be well-equipped to manage the engagement, support, and coordination of the Healthy Minds Providers.  

As our ideal candidate, you will also have: 

• An understanding of the Stepped Model of Care and its application to mental health services  
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating mental health services for underserviced groups 
• A solid understanding of accounts payable processes
