JOB PURPOSE

• Investigate and undertake engineering analysis on how to improve existing HVAC system and advise the project/technical team accordingly.
• Prepare proposals in response to requests for quotation in a timely, complete and accurate manner.

1. Design Development

• Assist in redesigning existing HVAC system to improve overall long-term system quality, improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Create, revise, and sustain HVAC system, utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.

• Submit shop drawing in the time frame given to make sure no delay in project timeline.

2. Tender Submission

• Generate accurate bids using internal and external resources and using the costing method that is appropriate for the projects. 
• Understand what areas are involved in each tender participate to avoid over costing.
• Responsible for ensuring tender are submitted consistently ahead of the deadlines set by the tendering authority.
• Build a good working relationship with all supplier & subcontractor.
• Responsible for preparation and checking of tender documents to make sure meet all tender requirement.

Required to - KNOW (Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or other relevant professional certification.
• At least 2 year of working experience in a similar capacity.
• Valid Construction Industry Development (CIDB) certificate.

What We’re Looking For:

Join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you'll play a key role in delivering engineering solutions across mechanical, controls, hydraulic, fire, and fuel services. Your expertise will guide projects from initial feasibility and scoping through design, site inspection, commissioning, and facilities management. You'll also support the lead fire and hydraulic engineer and provide presales support as needed.

Candidates from engineering consultancy background or those with experience in critical infrastructure are welcomed to apply!

What will you do: 

• Lead engineering efforts across mechanical, controls, hydraulic, fire, and fuel systems, while supporting other disciplines as needed. 
• Utilize Revit-MEP BIM for design production and review. 
• Develop energy modeling to enhance project efficiency. 
• Manage design consultants to ensure compliance with NEXTDC specifications. 
• Create detailed scope and brief documents tailored to specific areas of expertise. 
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership analyses and offer strategic recommendations. 
• Oversee construction site inspections and commissioning, while providing ongoing facilities management support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement PR and marketing strategies that align with business goals.
• Manage the department's annual budget and resources with the Group Head of Department.

2. Media Relations:

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media professionals.
• Coordinate press releases, media pitches, and press kits. 

3) Content Creation:

• Lead the creation of high-quality content for various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.

4) Marketing Campaigns:

• Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns with the marketing team.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance to maximize ROI.
• Utilize marketing tools to streamline workflows.

5) Crisis Communication:

• Develop and maintain crisis communication plans for timely responses to PR issues.
• Coordinate internal communication during crises and handle user queries and complaints. 

6) Brand Management:

• Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop branding materials. 

7) Event Coordination:

• Plan and manage company events and industry participation.
• Represent the company at events and engage with stakeholders.

8) Stakeholder Communication:

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cohesive communication.
• Develop internal communication materials, like newsletters and announcements.

9) Analytics and Reporting:

• Track and analyze PR and marketing efforts.
• Prepare regular performance reports for management.

9) Vendor Management:

• Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, media, and other relevant parties.
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure quality deliverables.

10) Other Duties:

• To comply with Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
• Manage social media platforms (FB, IG, Twitter, TikTok) and respond to user complaints.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the Group Head of Department and Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, marketing communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing PR and marketing communication strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling and engaging content.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Experience in crisis communication and media relations, with a proven ability to navigate challenging situations.
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage external partnerships effectively.
• Experience with event planning, coordination, and execution.
• A strong network of media contacts is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to track and analyze campaign performance.
