The Tax Assistant will support the Tax Lead in handling indirect tax compliance for Singapore and Malaysia. This role is responsible for helping prepare and submit tax returns, assisting with customs documentation, and contributing to projects like e-Invoicing and system updates. The Tax Assistant will also help in preparing audit responses and communicating with authorities as needed.

• Support Indirect Tax Compliance
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of indirect tax returns (e.g., GST,ax) and related compliance documentation for Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Help maintain accurate records for tax exemption reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with Internal Departments
  • Collaborate with various teams, including planning, logistics, finance, and R&D, to gather necessary documentation and support indirect tax compliance.

  • Monitor new tax legislation and regulatory changes, communicating updates to the Tax Lead and relevant stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for enhancing indirect tax-related procedures and practices.
  • Assist in implementing automation and system improvements, such as ERP configurations, related to tax compliance.
• Support for Ad-hoc Projects
  • Assist in executing ad-hoc projects related to indirect tax, such as e-Invoicing and IT system updates.
• Liaison with Authorities
  • Help prepare responses to inquiries from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and other government bodies, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Support in managing audits and providing necessary documentation for indirect tax-related inquiries.

• Work with the Operations team to provide seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.
• Process customer's orders/ inquiries timely and accurately.
• communicate discrepancies/ issues to Manager when necessary.
• Proactively alert 3PLs and customers in the event any service deviation from standard transport mapping.
• Responsible and familiarise with track and trace systems.
• Continuous update thtough communication channels on current status from 3PLs.

• Responsible for the local operation of the assigned process or utility units in accordance with the Refinery operating procedures and best practices. 
• Carries out the local Process and Utilities Systems operations including starting and stopping of equipment, maintaining and adjusting instrumentation, conducting shift tours for purpose of monitoring equipment operations. 
• Operates the local start-stop and controls during start-up, shutdown and emergency operations and reports operating conditions to the Refinery and Utilities Panelman.

About the role
The FA&P Analyst is responsible for handling day to day operations of FA&P Dept, weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast, monthly closing and variance analysis reporting & submission to global and annual budgeting. The work involves liaison between the commercial team (sales/customer care/marketing), factories and accounting team.

In this position you will manage :

Forecasting & Variance Analysis

·       Lead the monthly forecasting processes

·       Analyse regional business results to identify trends and/or financially significant variances and suggest corrective actions  to improve business profitability and growth.

·        Build and optimize FP&A processes and use financial forecasting and modelling techniques to project performance

·       Perform in-depth analysis of the group's performance on P&L, B/S, working capital efficiency, cash flow management, pricing and other key efficiency indicators.

·       Conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives.

·       Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to regional and senior leadership. Provide financial advisory support to the regions.

About your Experience
You will have at least 5 year’s experience in an FA&P role,  have worked closely with commercial teams and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. A passion for data analysis and tech is a given.

·       Degree in Business, Finance or Finance Professional qualification.

·       HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) experience required.

·       Experience with PowerBI, will be a plus.

·       Deep understanding of a matrix organization and an ability to manage stakeholders from various functions

·       Good excel skills with experience in building database, reporting, financial models and forecast.

The Project Manager is responsible for the end to end project management of varied projects across the manufacturing operation, managing projects from concept to commissioning within a varied manufacturing environment either in the field of process, packing or facilities and utilities.

The Project Manager supports the delivery of the key plant results, such as zero safety accidents, zero quality (losses), cost savings, efficiency improvement, 100% Customer Service Level and 100% engagement using the Manufacturing Operating System as an enabler. The Project Manager does this through agile project management and execution of varied projects across the manufacturing operation, through any of the phases from concept to handover after verification.

Delivery & Cost:
Project Planning:

• Responsible for (pre-)engineering scoping, costing and capital expenditure request document preparation using the appropriate JDE project management and technical standards, processes and procedures.

Communication:

• Engaging and communicating with all relevant stakeholders and project team members through the whole lifecycle of the project to ensure that the project deliverables meets all practical requirements (maintenance, operation, training, etc).
• Giving regular updates on project progress to steering committee, team members and plant management.

Project Management & Execution:

• To manage and co-ordinate the detailed project design activities:-
• Coordinate, liaise and communicate with (int./ext.) designers, authorities (for notice, permitting and/or approval) and responsible JDE stakeholders (SSE, QA, M&R, etc.).
• Have drawings and calculations prepared (int./ext. company), as required based on project scope; for purpose of permitting, tendering, documentation etc.
• Distribute and share information to relevant project team members and stakeholders, based on project RACI communication matrix.
• Contact with suppliers, enquire quotations for equipment, installation and/or engineering services and have purchase orders created based on and in line with budget and time schedule planning.
• Prepare RFQ technical documents and follow up tender/ contract negotiation together with Procurement. Carry out Total Cost of Ownership assessment (investment v operating costs) for major CAPEX buy equipment.
• Ensure to have the Technical Project Documentation prepared (int. or by 3rd party contractor): collect, compile and share required files of the (sub-)project; participate in safety assessments/reviews, according to local standards, laws, regulation and JDE company procedures (Engineering Management and Contactors Management).
• Working with the software engineers to develop a URS – User Request Specification for the process installation and review FDS – Functional Development Specification.
• Management of orders: raising Purchase Requests, following deliveries up with the suppliers, receipting and checking invoice discrepancies.
• Planning and regular review of budget incl. updated forecast: kind and amount of purchase orders still needed to be spent to deliver the detailed, agreed scope
• Managing cost versus budget using the appropriate standards to report actual, commitment, and remaining budget spend on a weekly basis to Engineering Manager and/or Plant Finance the CAPEX spending forecast and spending phasing for budget control.

Project Close-Out:

• Start up the installation, together with the project team and suppliers and ensure full snag tracking and close out through commissioning, qualification and verification.
• Ensure relevant handover documentation is in place such as OEM manuals, training documents and risk assessments. Arrange for appropriate training and provision of training material before installation start up.
