The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a Supply Chain Developer. In this role, you will actively contribute to identifying, developing, and implementing improvement opportunities, driving the continuous improvement of our Supply Chain processes.
Join us as we transform our business into the digital space. This full-time permanent role will see you develop into planning systems, optimisation software and ERP systems expert, acting as a key contributor to the implementation of projects that drive efficiency and cost savings across the Supply Chain operations. While maintaining the standardisation and consistency of solutions across the business, you will also be a key contributor to the operations and support of the Supply Chain Systems team and processes.
We have 2 permanent full-time positions available, and we are looking for a candidate with 1-3 years’ experience and a candidate with 5+ years’ experience.
The role can be based in either Port Kembla NSW or Western Port VIC and a hybrid arrangement will be considered. We will consider basing the role out of other BlueScope sites around the country for the right candidate.
What Will You Do?
You will lead the development of the supply chain data sources, by providing expert advice on data elements and their meanings. You will:
- develop, maintain and support applications used across the Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling teams
- support the expansion of high quality planning and scheduling systems throughout the Supply Chain
- analyse our supply chain, focusing on utilisation, capacity and the impact on the supply chain from any changes
- contribute toward continuous process improvement to optimise the supply chain, and ensuring opportunities are identified, addressed and continuously refined
- drive the development of modern solutions for the systems that drive the Supply Chain
More About You
This is a hands-on role, so it requires someone that is self-motivated, highly organised with the ability to multi-task. You will:
- demonstrate experience in business analysis converting user requirements into system specifications
- have a detailed understanding of object-oriented programming languages (C#, Python, C++)
- have a basic understanding of database management (SQLServer, Oracle) and the setup and use of Window based virtual servers
- have experience in stakeholder engagement at varied levels
- have the ability to work within a team to achieve outcomes
- demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make pragmatic decisions
- have strong ability to think both strategically and short term to solve complex problems analytically
- have strong customer focus and relationship management
