General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Interpret design/drawings for takeoff and workforce for bidding and building construction projects.
Prepare and distribute all required documentation such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, to supervisor.
Provide technical support and direction regarding project materials meeting specifications, delivery dates and construction schedules.
Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing drawing and sketches to support estimating and construction work to meet changing job requirements.
Develop job essential data including quantity take-offs and material pricing to ensure accurate estimates and bids.
Maintain accurate records of quantities for work performed and materials installed for cost controls on construction projects.
Education
Must have High School Diploma or GED and be working towards a bachelor’s degree
Field of Study
Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, of technical training and related experience
Work Experience
0 - 2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with a calculator.
Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Communicate with Foremen and Superintendent to learn about field construction operations and to provide support.
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, & the local community.
Assist with the Project Environmental, Health, Safety requirements.
Assist the Project Engineer with approving time cards in HeavyJob. Ensure all equipment and employees are accounted for on timecards.
Assist with verifying quantities in FIS (Field Information Systems) and log quantities for cost and revenue tracking.
Assist the Project Engineer with generating and distributing daily cost reports (trucking, labor, equipment) to the Project Manager, Foreman & Superintendent.
Assist with the completion of daily reports documenting both Granite Construction and Subcontractor activities.
Place necessary material orders, survey requests, locates, etc.
Maintain a to-do list and diary.
Assist with the calculations of yields of materials used such as concrete, aggregate base & asphalt.
Tour jobsite daily with the Project Manager or Engineer to verify quantities claimed are correct and to stay current on overall job progress.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Education
High School diploma required and a minimum of 2 (two) years of education from an accredited institution of higher learning such as a college or university

Previous construction experience is a plus

Essential Job Accountabilities
Conduct research, perform analysis, and deliver reports on findings on sustainability-related topics as assigned. Examples include researching sustainability in different infrastructure end-markets, conducting peer benchmarking, and gathering information on support programs and financial incentives for renewable energy transitions.
Develop plans for the Company’s Sustainability Week, including creative ways to engage employees with the Company’s mission for sustainability.
Monitor, facilitate and communicate progress of the Company’s sustainability programs and ensure program objectives are consistent with strategies, goals, measurements, and reporting standards.
Work with internal and external resources to coordinate the writing, layout, approval and publishing of sustainability reports to support the company branding as and industry sustainability leader.
Coordinate with the Sustainability Objective Owners and business operations to ensure relevant data is collected, properly documented, and available to support reporting and company communications.
Monitor renewable resources, sustainable work processes, and environmental science trends to ensure proper sustainability benchmarks are established to support management’s strategies in maintaining the Company’s industry leadership role.
Provide administration to the Sustainability Council to support it as a Center of Excellence by facilitating knowledge sharing and development of best practices.

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Conduct research, perform analyses, and deliver reports on findings on sustainability-related topics as assigned to ensure a well-rounded sustainability strategy. Examples include researching sustainability in different infrastructure end-markets, conducting peer benchmarking, and gathering information on support programs and financial incentives for renewable energy transitions.
Develop plans for the Company’s Sustainability Week, including creative ways to engage employees with the Company’s mission for sustainability.
Monitor, facilitate and communicate progress of the Company’s sustainability programs and ensure program objectives are consistent with strategies, goals, measurements, and reporting standards.
Partner with internal and external resources to coordinate the writing, layout, approval and publishing of sustainability reports to support the company branding as and industry sustainability leader.
Coordinate with the Sustainability Objective Owners and business operations to ensure relevant data is collected, properly documented, and available to support reporting and company communications.
Monitor renewable resources, sustainable work processes, and environmental science trends to ensure proper sustainability benchmarks are established to support management’s strategies in maintaining the Company’s industry leadership role.
Provide administration to the Sustainability Council to support as a Center of Excellence by facilitating knowledge sharing and development of best practices.
Assist with project proposals and expediting owner acceptance and implementation of sustainability initiatives that differentiate the company from its competition.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or graduate-level program
Work Experience
0-2 years related work experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct daily
Demonstrated time management skills, along with a high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly
