PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This HR Business Partner role is an individual contributor supporting our operating businesses located in Jurong Island. Reporting to the Division HR Head, this HR Business Partner will be part of the HR team looking after the entire employee lifecycle. The role demands both strategic thinking on people matters and proficiency in HR operations, with support from Group HR Centre of Excellence (COEs).
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Division HR Head to develop people strategies to deploy organization’s workforce to maximize productivity in pursuit of organizational vision, mission, and goals, in consultation with stakeholders.
- Liaise with line managers to understand business requirements, project future skills demand and collaborate with hiring managers to optimize manpower resources.
- Work with the line managers to identify targeted learning and development programs to bridge staff capability gaps and build new skills needed in the future
- Partners with business leaders in the identification, assessment, identification of high-potentials, and facilitation of the succession planning process.
- Manage employee issues and supports line managers in exit and retirement processes.
- Adopt a service excellence mindset and is passionate about addressing organizational and employees’ needs and issues.
- Have hands-on experience in handling labour relationship
- Support in annual performance management exercise and budgeting
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma with relevant HR Business Partnering experience.
- Prior experience in plant environment would be preferred.
- Strong understanding and professional experience in HR matters in the entire employee lifecycle
- Familiarity with local manpower legislation and able to practice in context.
- Possess a keen eye for detail, be self-motivated working under minimal supervision, be proactive and demonstrate calmness during times of uncertainty.
- Able to garner trust and respect from business stakeholders, working effectively with staff across all levels of the business.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
