JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Participates in formulation of Budget and Department Plan and monitors its implementation.
2. Establishes personal PRIs (PG) and direct reports and ensures their attainment.
3. Participates in formulating and reviews, implements and monitors Corporate Relations policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
4. Advises relevant internal parties on Corporate Relations policies and SOP.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication plan to support corporate objective and initiatives.
6. Branding
- Develop & implement brand strategies to strengthen the company’s market position.
- Analyse market trend and competitors to inform branding decision
- Creation of brand visuals
- Plan & Execute brand campaign
7. Public Relation Management
- Create engaging content for the corporate website, social media channels and other communication platforms.
- Coordinate with internal division and department to gather information, updates and visuals to be use in PR materials and campaigns
- Develop a regular report by tracking and measuring the impact of PR efforts using metrics such as survey feedback, social media impressions and reach.
- Support the PR activities including managing contact databases, tracking expenses, and scheduling meetings.
- Identifies, recommends and implements appropriate medium of communication for company such as website, brochure and publication.
- Reviews, recommends and monitors quality, content, function and outlook of the corporate website, social media tools and publication.
8. Media Relation
- Manage media relations activities, including building relationships with the key media representative including editors and journalists.
- Coordination of media engagement activities such as media invitation, press conferences and media briefings.
- Coordinate media relation work in compiling media list, distribute media invites, setup the interviews and press conferences.
- Coordinate the distribution of written materials or media through appropriate channels, such as newswires, email and media databased.
- Monitor media coverage (mainstream media and social media) for direct brand mentions and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks to the organisation’s reputation.
- This includes generating media analysis reports for specific issues, crises and special projects to provide insight to direct superior and management.
9. Communications
- Develop internal and external communications strategies
- Manage the production of MTDC Newsletter
- Develop and manage Crisis Communication plan
10. Social Media Management
- Content development for internal and external communication channels that includes note to editor, press releases, newsletter, social media posts and internal communication announcements
- Managing company’s social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring
11. Fosters good working relationship and work closely internal stakeholder, media and other relevant government authorities.
12. Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in public and media relations.
13. Prepares weekly and yearly reports regularly for submission to direct superior.
PREFERENCES:
- Education: Degree holder
- Studies: Degree in Mass Comm, MARCOMM, Journalism
- Working Experience: min 5 years and have exposure in industry, university and government is advantage
- Specific Skills/attributes: Good in communication and copy writing skills. Have the skills to build strong media relations. Create and implement interesting social management
