Job Summary:
As a Business Development Executive for a retail and wedding business, your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. You will play a crucial role in expanding the company's client base, increasing brand visibility, and maximizing profitability. Your focus will be on the fashion, lifestyle and wedding industry, including bridal wear, evening attire, accessories, home decorations and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the retail and wedding industry.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and target markets.
- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and event planners.
- Actively network and attend industry events to generate leads and promote the business.
2. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and provide excellent customer service.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and materials.
3. Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the client base.
- Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, and logistics) to meet client requirements and deadlines.
4. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Analyze market data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest fashion and wedding industry trends, styles, and consumer preferences.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to management based on market analysis.
5. Business Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the business's overall strategic plan.
- Provide input on pricing strategies, product offerings, and market positioning.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative ideas to drive growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and adjust as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in business, marketing, or a related field (a degree is a plus).
- Proven work experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fashion or wedding industry.
- Strong understanding of the fashion and wedding market, including customer preferences and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
