Duties & Responsibilities:

 

-Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems including electrical wiring, and controls
-Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with air conditioning systems and make necessary repairs
-Perform regular maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively
-Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
-Communicate effectively with customers to explain the work that needs to be done and provide recommendations for future maintenance or repairs
-Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with air conditioning systems
-Stay up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies to ensure the highest level of service is provided to customers
 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

-SPM/Diploma/SKM or equivalent
-Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational school training in air conditioning and refrigeration
-Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an air-conditioner technician
-Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls, and HVAC systems
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Valid GDL permit

EHS Tech I

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures compliance with Plant Safety rules, OSHA regulations and assists with environmental compliance to the facility.  This includes local, state and federal requirements.  Leads site initiatives to support the Polaris Safety & Health Policies and promotes cross-site consistency on facility safety and environmental programs.

Projected schedule: Friday-Sunday (3 12-hour shifts). Schedule would ideally be 2pm-2am. Start time can be flexible, however this role will mainly support the afternoon/ evenings on our Weekend Production Shift.

Role would be at least 80% of time on production floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as a resource on issues related to safety, compliance, and training.
• Plan and coordinate safety training programs; prepare related materials; coordinate, schedule and present training classes; evaluate program effectiveness and recommend modifications.
• Conduct a variety of safety inspections and audits; ensure compliance with OSHA standards and correct on-the-spot safety violations; inform department of findings, recommend corrective or preventative measures, and perform follow-up inspections.
• Conducts employee training on safety programs (e.g. Hazcom/RTK, HAZWOPER, Fire protection, PPE, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, Crane/Hoist inspection coordination, Compressed gases, Fall Protection, Ladder safety, Machine Guarding, Portable Power Tools, Forklift Operations).

• Conducts Tooling and fixture inspections to ensure design requirements are met.
• Inspect and ensure the ready status of emergency response equipment.
• Provide administrative safety support; prepare and compiles information for various reports.
• Maintain material safety data sheets; document training activities
• Order safety equipment for department vehicles and facilities.
• Oversee and lead the Shift First Responder Team and plant Safety Committee.
• Provides technical assistance to plant personnel on safety and environmental issues.
• Serve as a resource on facility wide issues related to Safety, OSHA compliance, Site Security and employee training.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Must have great communication, record keeping, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to read and understand OSHA safety rules & regulations.
• Must be able to conduct effective employee training programs.
• First Responder, First Aid, CPR certification will be required.
• Previous Safety experience a plus.

Position Summary
 

The Production Technician is an essential and versatile member of the Plug Power manufacturing operation.  This role is responsible for the assembly and quality validation of Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology.  Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail.  The Production Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals. 
 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components utilized in manufacturing Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology; assembly tasks are electro-mechanical in nature
• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
• Operation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation work
• Operation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacks
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing process
• Follow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standards
• Maintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplace
• Must professionally communicate and collaborate with other Plug Power team members and supervisors

Qualifications and Experience

Heavy Machinery Operator

**Must be certified to operate a Crane**

We are looking for a crane operator to be responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes, and truck cranes. The crane operator’s responsibilities include knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksite, setting up the manufacturer’s operator’s manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily, and operating the crane under general supervision. You should be able to lift and lower materials with precision and transport heavy equipment to worksites.

To be successful as a crane operator, you should operate cranes efficiently, take complete charge of all safety, clean and maintain the hoisting mechanisms, and handle the process of job billing. Ultimately, a top-notch crane operator should set and maintain a standard of accuracy, be able to work in extreme weather conditions, and operate the crane according to verbal, written, or signal instruction.

Position Summary:

Bionova is seeking a motivated and innovative Process & Facilities Engineer to serve in the Facilities and Engineering department. As part of the F&E group, you will have opportunities to work on and take ownership of a wide range of projects from system and workflow implementation to facility and laboratory capital buildouts, troubleshooting and investigations, maintenance and calibration program management. Bionova is currently expanding its capabilities from a CDO to a CDMO through construction of a GMP manufacturing facility and QC testing laboratory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for specifications for all facilities and equipment on which qualification is based (e.g. user requirements specifications)
• Assist in GMP compliant detailed design for facility under quality change management and for construction satisfying design intent
• Facilitate and own as required the design and implementation of and controls for facilities equipment
• Creation of protocols for and oversight of Commissioning, SAT, FAT for utility and process systems
• Sustains process equipment after construction. Executes (e.g. continuous improvement or NPI) changes to process equipment under QA oversight (GMP compliance)
• Follows GxP principles in troubleshooting equipment issues and ensures equipment is satisfying user (operations) requirements
• Act as primary point of contact between company and construction contractors + A/E firm(s) for process scope. Field RFIs, submittals, and other official communications between construction stakeholders.
• Main technical interface with Validation Manager (VM) when VM is creating and executing qualifications
• Supports RFP activities for design and construction phases of projects
• Support establishing of procedures and processes for operation of facilities and interfaces with utilities and automation systems (BMS, EMS, Historian, CMMS, etc.)
• Executes asset management and acts as system owner, defines preventive maintenance and calibration for new assets
• System owner for specific facilities and utilities equipment
• Operates within GMP quality systems as record owner or subject matter expert including deviations, change control, CAPA, audits and other quality systems.
• Other activities and duties as required or assigned.

Working Conditions:

This position requires work in office, manufacturing, warehouse, and lab settings. The role requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 40 pounds independently.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years’ experience performing duties of Process, Utilities, or Facilities Engineer with at least 5 years in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering or related science discipline
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using CMMS systems in cGMP facilities
• Experience managing facility systems and being system owner in cGMP environment

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Downstream Manufacturing Associate or Technician will actively contribute to the manufacturing and technology transfer projects at the Bionova Scientific Fremont location. As part of the Purification/Manufacturing group, you will have opportunities to work on a wide-ranging set of projects for troubleshooting and investigations, system and workflow implementation, and tech transfers of processes into the GMP manufacturing facility. The role will provide hands-on execution of complex experiments in a team setting. The role will support GMP readiness and manufacturing activities. The scope of responsibilities may include but are not limited to Document writing (SOPs, Equipment URSs, etc.), equipment validation execution support and single-use assembly design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute, with oversight of qualified staff, complex unit operations including but not limited to chromatography, TFF, depth filtration, virus filtration, and buffer preparation in GMP manufacturing suites. 
• Maintain own training within compliance. 
• Support in equipment troubleshooting, pilot scale material generation, non-GMP tox material generation and GMP downstream manufacturing activities.
• Author/review/approve technical documents such as tech transfer protocols and reports, production batch records, training materials, manufacturing SOPs, and regulatory filing documents per project needs.
• Documents work according to cGMP and cGDP.
• Adheres to established regulations and follows cGMP established by site. 
• Maintain cleanroom standards, practices, and housekeeping according to SOPs. 
• Recognize any minor issues from the equipment and notify leads/managers of issues and discrepancies immediately.   
• Contributes to quality activities such as investigations and area walk-throughs and support authoring deviations, CAPA, change control. 
• Other duties as assigned and flexible to work in shifts

Working Conditions:

• This position required to work in a lab/office setting. The role requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.  The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds independently.

Qualifications

• BS in Life Sciences, or related discipline with 0~1 years of relevant experience, or combination of experience and relevant advanced degree, preferably in biopharma manufacturing role.
• Working knowledge of cGMP compliance as it pertains to procedures, processes, and manufacturing, preferrable.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard purification processes (affinity, IEX, SEC, viral inactivation and filtration, depth filtration, TFF, UFDF, etc) and equipment (GE AKTAs, disposables).
• Experience with process monitoring software and equipment software (UNICORN, Pi Historian)
• Creative thinker that can identify better and more efficient methods to address issues and gaps
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritize assignments and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments and conduct autonomous maintenance along with 5S duties.
• Coordinate downtime to ensure efficient use for maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate production equipment, perform lot changes, and coordinate machinery downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and enter product and raw materials into MES and SAP databases.
• Work with engineers to execute equipment validations.

• Work hours: 6:30PM - 6:30AM; 12-hour rotating night shift: 2 nights on, 2 nights off, and every other weekend.

What you will be doing

• Carry out 100% of lift maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory to achieve continual operation

• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

• To ensure that all works performed (i.e. servicing, parts replacement, repairs and breakdown) are documented with relevant customer's request

• To attend as soon as reasonably possible, all breakdown callback assignments, especially to give priority for 'man trap' situation

What you will need to be successful

• At least 2-3 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry

• Have basic Electrical, Electronic and or Mechanical knowledge, able to troubleshoot and solve technical problem will have added advantage

• A committed professional, with Safety as your priority

• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Willing to travel inter-states within Northern region

• Self-disciplined, curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
