Pay: £16.26 per hour

Job role:

• Responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle and operating the machinery for the refuse loading
• Taking responsibility for the safety of your team
• Reporting any issues to the Transport team, including vehicle and machinery concerns and faults, missed collection reasons and any issues encountered on the route
• Collecting and emptying commercial and residential waste and recycling refuse bins
• Happy to load when requirements dictate, requiring coverage on foot of long distances
• Guiding the driver in crowded areas and through tight situations
• Attending training as required to remain compliant with Health and Safety regulations
• Comply with regular DVLA checks
• Adherence to all regulations

A site induction and full training of the job role will be provided with familiarisation of the local areas.

Requirements:

• A full and valid Class 2 LGV/HGV vehicle licence

Our client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Engineer to act as the main point of contact for Configuration Management (CM) support to project and functional stakeholders.

As a Senior Configuration Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and implementing Engineering Change Management by-product definitions.

What we're looking for:

• Background knowledge in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management within a Defence or Aerospace industry or similar.
• Proven experience working in a similar role within the defence sector: Candidates from other industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, etc., with practical experience including Bill of Material Engineers, Material Requirements Planning Analysts, Engineering Change Engineers, Technical Data Managers, etc., will also be considered.
• Experience with MS Office and data systems (Windchill an advantage)
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills with good attention to detail
• CM2 certification (essential)

The job responsibilities for the successful candidate include applying Configuration Management principles and processes for one or more projects, interpreting technical data for large and complex product assemblies, managing access and technical signatories for product design data, handling Configuration Management documentation, reviewing and implementing engineering design changes, collaborating across a multi-stakeholder environment, supporting regular Configuration Management Committee meetings, managing schedules, generating agendas and reports, taking and publishing minutes, and supporting technical audits on suppliers to ensure Configuration Management processes are observed throughout the supply chain.

The ideal candidate should possess a versatile skill set and be capable of certifying the product. They should also be able to apply their knowledge across various tasks using equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments. The tasks will involve producing, repairing, and modifying the company's products, meeting defined build standards and specification requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Standard technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 (Apprenticeship relevant to the role)
• Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent Certification.
• Demonstrate planning, organising skills, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Team player resilience with customer focus efforts.
• Experience as a skilled person and ESD training.

What you'll get to do as a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician:

• Certifying the product and possessing a versatile skill base, with a capability to apply their skills across a scope of tasks
• Utilising equipment and tools, gauges and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair, and modification of company products.
• Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure and maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
• Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments.
• Ensure manufacturing build, inspection, and test times meet relevance and meet defined build standards and specification requirements.
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
• Maintain the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
