Job Description:
The Technical Manager – Gas Treating is responsible for leading the proposal and process engineering team by providing technical leadership and, will perform both pre award and project execution activities including bid support, detailed design and commissioning for gas treating packages for both on and offshore projects. The Technical Manager – Gas Treating will liaise with regional sales teams to promote gas treating technology with end users and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing technical expertise on all bid support, design phases and project execution for gas treating
· Expanding the gas treatment technology knowhow within Jord by sharing knowledge and mentoring others
· Engaging the regional sales team to promote gas treatment technology with end users and customers
· Ensuring planned process engineering deliverables for tenders and projects are delivered on time
· Estimating cost for packages during the bidding stage
· Sourcing partners for fabrication and assembly of skids
· Developing process design philosophies and process engineering documents for gas treating
· Completing design calculations and prepare datasheets
· Preparing operation, control and safeguarding philosophies, control and safeguarding initiatives, alarm & trip schedules and cause & effect diagrams
· Preparing utility, valve, instrument and line lists
· Preparing plant operation manuals and safeguarding memorandums
· Attending HAZOP, 3D model & design review meetings and preparing SIL documentation
· Preparing equipment procurement specifications and engineering document templates
· Preparing and issuing RFQs and evaluating vendor offers for compliance with contractual requirements
· Conducting peer reviews of engineering deliverables generated by process team members
· Participating in developmental activities to minimise calculation time
· Promoting collaboration and integration between the process and mechanical engineering teams during post order to minimise miscommunication, errors and re-work
· Identifying opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to management
· Maintain technical knowledge by staying up to date with product enhancements, upgrades and understand the impact to new and existing customers
· To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency
Skills and Experience:
· Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
· Above 15 years professional experience in process design and engineering of Gas Treating Packages and Heat Transfer solutions to O&G Industry like Gas Dehydration, Gas Sweetening (Amine based), Hydrocarbon Dew point, Condensate stabilisation, Sulphur/Mercury removal, and fuel gas conditioning skids in both on and off shore including FPSOs.
· Good experience in Instrumentation and Control systems
· Hands on experience in software like HYSYS/ Unisim, Promax, Pipesim, FlareNet, TGNet/TLNet, HYSYS dynamics, HTRI etc.
· Proven track record in attending and closing Design review, HAZOP and SIL meetings with customers/end users in time to maintain the Project schedule.
· Advanced knowledge of Process design, Heat Transfer technology, Gas Treatment/Separation and Pressure vessel design codes, End User specifications like API, ASME, Shell DEP/Aramco, Exxon Mobil etc. and the ability to read manufacturing drawings.
· A proactive and positive attitude focused on the development of the Company’s business and the support of fellow staff throughout pre-award and execution, working cooperatively and constructively within a culturally diverse team environment.
· Experience of estimating the Gas Treating skids.
· Good English communication skills
· Good knowledge of Computing and MS Office and Excel, and presentation skills

About the role
The successful candidate will provide solutions that meet Jord’s customer’s needs whilst meeting sales, margin and new customer targets. The Senior Sales Manager will help build a Sales team which develops markets, generates business opportunities and wins sales for Jord.
In addition, you’ll be responsible for:
· Developing and growing Jord’s client base for the Energy Business Unit
· Meeting and exceeding set sales targets for the Energy Business Unit
· Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements
· Persuading clients that Jord’s product offering best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
· Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· At least 20 years demonstrable experience in oil and gas processing technologies sales globally (preferably within Fortune 500 scale business)
· Tertiary qualifications in mechanical or process engineering combined with hands on experience in selling oil, gas and water treatment solutions
· Previous experience in managing sales teams across multiple geographic locations (Europe/Middle East/Asia)
· A proven track record of sales of capital equipment; projects & aftermarket services
· A proven track record of managing a sales pipeline in excess of US$100M
· Sound commercial and contractual awareness (Previous P&L experience)
· Ability to travel 50% of time
