In this role, you will represent Global Business Lines in the Country/region to grow sales and market. Defining plans and ensuring implementation of product marketing strategies in assigned areas to meet business objectives and in line with global product line strategy. Overseeing all marketing activities and supporting sales organizations in driving sales and services of respective solutions.
Reporting to the National Product Business Line Manager. This position will be based in Fortitude Valley or in Perth, Australia.
Your responsibilities:
• Creating plans and ensuring implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy
• Ensuring achievement of established targets through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed and focusing on achievement of total orders (3rd Party), growth margin %, customer satisfaction (NPS scores)
• Coordinating market studies with the Product Marketing and Sales teams, defining appropriate forecasts and business/marketing plans, regular reviews of marketing activities, and implementation of improvement plans to achieve business targets.
• Pipeline review and budget review with the Global Product Line Managers
• Evaluating market opportunities and deciding appropriate activities in line with the strategy and delivering product information, providing training (technical and sales) for the sales team, and driving sales efficiency.
• Supporting local and global bid & proposal teams with technical and commercial information related to the offering. Support the proposal team in the RFQ specification reviews, technical clarifications, and designing a winning solution. Must be able to present technical and commercial offers
• Creating demand through technical promotion, providing solutions, and a value-selling approach.
• Maintain and update the opportunities in the Salesforce.
• Support the handover of projects to Operation.
• Actioning on our installed base to foster opportunities for upgrades and Improvement projects, seeking a better user experience with the installed equipment.
• Continuously develops product management processes and tools, including interfaces to other key functions, and develops sales and tendering tools to support the Sales organization.
• Represent the business lines in seminars and industry events.
• Keeping regular contact with industry stakeholders such as end users, OEMs, Consulting companies, and EPCMs to promote the Automation and digital portfolio, influencing the decision makers, steering the specifications towards ABB, and gathering business intelligence.
Your background:
• Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical, Automation, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering or Service in Automation applications
• Proven experience in the Mining industry.
• Application and/or related technical experience in automation systems. DCS systems SaaS business model is a plus.
• Knowledge of MES, Dispatch Systems, Fleet Management, Advanced Process Control, Energy Management and Asset Management.
• Ability to build relationships and create a collaborative environment with all stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and focused character with strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of marketing and sales strategy.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills.
