Position Overview
As the sole IT staff member of our organization, the IT Executive plays a central role in overseeing KKCS’s IT operations and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements. The IT Executive collaborates closely with staff and centre/programme administators to maintain a well-optimised IT system and network. This role manages all IT-related functions, provide technical support, oversee service agreements, architect business solutions, and ensure the security and efficiency of our IT systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
A. Deliver and Optimise IT Operational Performance:
1. Serve as the main point of contact for all IT-related matters, including the issuance, setup, update, and return of IT equipment (e.g., laptops and mobile phones) and user accounts.
2. Provide technical support and direction on the installation, setup, and configuration of systems.
3. Design and implement security and integrity controls.
4. Define, implement, and educate users about IT policies.
5. Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and protocols.
6. Investigate and resolve systems issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
7. Conduct system audits and perform upgrades.
8. Conduct risk assessments of IT systems.
9. Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions and/or best practices.
B. Oversee Service Level Agreements and Service Improvements:
1. Manage the development of service-level objectives and targets.
2. Monitor service-level objectives to ensure that requirements are met or exceeded.
3. Propose recommendations to improve performance and client satisfaction.
C. Business Architecting:
1. Design business processes, functions, and network structures.
2. Identify organisational requirements for resources.
3. Analyse cost versus benefits, risks, impact, and technology priorities.
4. Provide recommendations on emerging technology to senior management.
5. Develop communication plans for change implementation.
6. Explore methods to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes.
D. Other Duties:
1. Assume overall responsibility for network, hosting, cybersecurity, IT software and hardware management, telephony, knowledge management, and record upkeep.
2. Collaborate with colleagues across centers to deliver IT systems such as CCTV, copier systems, access systems, website, finance system, HR system, donor management system, and conference system.
3. Support the Corporate Services Director in the role of Personal Data Officer.
4. Undertake other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Diploma/Degree in technology or computer science
· More than 5 years of working experience as an IT personnel
· Good knowledge in technical hardware/software systems
· Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting skills
· Independent, self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision
· Good understanding of cyber threats and cyber security
