Job Description

We are looking for a Research Assistant with experience in experimental atomic physics for a project in on quantum interfaces between internal atomic states and photons to prepare entangled atom-photon states. This position will involve the preparation of optical pulses with a well-defined time width and frequency, and requires experience with laser spectroscopy and single photon detection.

Additionally, knowledge of quantum state estimation will be advantageous. The Research Assistant will work in a group of experienced researchers in an academic environment.

Job Description

The goal of the job is to estimate the energetic consumption of some of the most common QRAM circuits. The candidate will work closely with researcher from the computer science group and the physics group. The job contemplate writing software to obtain the estimates and report the results in an academic publication. The candidate will study the impact of their work, for example in QML and cryptography.

Qualifications

The job requires previous exposure to quantum mechanics and quantum algorithms.
