We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an Apprentice Science Technician on a Term Time only basis to join our team at Vale of York Academy.

This role will enable you to work towards gaining a Level 3 qualification as a Laboratory Technician. You will work under the supervision and direction of teachers to support learning by providing technical assistance, through the coordination, preparation and maintenance of teaching areas and equipment for students. This will include assisting to prepare resources, materials and equipment for science lessons as directed.

20% of your working week will be dedicated to working towards your apprenticeship qualification which will be supported by our external training provider.

We seek to appoint a Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant to join the support team at Graham School, to lead and deliver Literacy Interventions.

The postholder will be responsible for the implementation of aspects of our literacy strategy supported by the SENCo and the HLTA for SEND Interventions. This role will involve delivering learning activities for a significant number of individual pupils or groups in line with our intervention programme. We currently use Fresh Start and are introducing Reading Plus across the school.
