What you will do:
Reporting to the APAC Project Delivery Director – Major Projects, this position is specifically focused on supporting countries across APAC in the execution of large complex installation and retrofit type of projects. The main responsibility of this role is to drive overall improved Project Delivery performance of the Major Complex Project portfolio by focusing on Pre-bid, Planning, Execution Risk, Schedule management, Toll Gate management, Execution Efficiency, Margin Improvements and Variation management. This will be achieved through engaging with the local country Project Delivery Leaders, Project Managers and various supporting functions to manage, coach and drive performance improvement.
How you will do it:
During Pre-bid phase engage with Solution Center, Project Delivery Leaders to review bid opportunities, quantify risk and recommend appropriate contingencies, ensure compliance on the use of Pre-bid checklist. Have full pipeline visibility of newly secured projects and ensure Toll Gate Review Cadences are in place for timely local and senior management review. Responsible for Toll Gate review findings and actions with local countries and senior Management. During TG1 – Pre-Bid to TG2 – Sales to Project Handover, ensure Sales to Project handover is done in a timely manner with any deficiencies or gaps highlighted to Project Delivery Director & Senior management. During TG3 - Planning phase, support APAC Program Managers and local PMs in identifying and escalating baseline risk including but not limited to Cost, Schedule, Scope or Resources during Toll Gate reviews and ensure these risks are quantified in APAC Risk & Opportunity register During TG4 - Execution phase, drive project effectiveness and optimization by coaching project team to focus on:
Assess and ensure the Cost to Go is adequate for the remaining project life cycle base on the interview with local project delivery team and deliverables reviewed. Identify, provide independent assessment of the risks present. Facilitate and guide local team to quantify and escalate these risks in APAC Risk & Opportunity register. During TG5 – Close Out phase, review, facilitate and ensure Lessons Learned are holistically captured, punch list is fully closed out, close out project documentation are completed & archived, Warranty effected, Project to Services is formally handed over. Support APAC Program Managers, local PMs and Project Delivery Leaders in Major Project reviews and Project Toll Gate reviews with senior management. Administering of Local Monthly Toll Gate Project Delivery review outcomes. Provide leadership, project technical expertise, and commercial oversight of projects at an APAC level with respect to risk identification through Toll Gate Management. Provide support to training and development as required. Support PMO on:

YoY improvement in overall margin slippage for APAC installation & retrofit projects
YoY improvement in overall secured variations for APAC installation & retrofit projects
What we look for:
PMP certified, in-depth understanding of project delivery frameworks and governance
15 + years of industry Project Management experience in large complex new build, and retrofit projects such as Data Centres, Waste Management Centres, Government Complexes
Tertiary qualifications in construction-related discipline
Ability to communicate with C-Suite and major stakeholders
A background from General Contracting (GC) or Consultancy is applicable
Ability to identify and mitigate contractual risk
Ability to drive and coach teams without full reporting ownership
Be pro-active and self driven. The right candidate will be commercially and financially astute, who has a high level of accountability
Ability to think strategically plan and execute efficiently
Collaboration: Be able to work with and lead a large and diverse team
Willingness to travel
Solid business acumen and strong in cost management
Resilience and discipline, excellent with time management skills
Demonstrated capabilities in Change Management
Ability to work with teams located in other geographical locations
