Global Financial Systems and Control (GFSC) provides group wide Financial Systems and Control function with a focus to simplify and automate processes. This is in alignment with the bank’s core strategy which is to become a simpler, better bank for our customers.
International Product Control Systems Team provides reporting solutions to support local finance teams to perform local regulatory and financial reporting in our offshore locations. Our main customers are Global Markets and Group Treasury Finance Teams. We work both in the project space and on daily BAU.

As a Technical/Business Analyst, International Product Control Systems, you will support, maintain and develop the Local Reporting Database (LRDB) solutions for all offshore locations. Support and develop other reporting solutions outside of LRDB for all offshore locations. As a member of the team, it is expected that you provide required support to the business by ensuring the finance solution are continuously available with up-to-date information and meet our SLA’s.
More specifically, you will:
- Support IB&M Offshore Finance Local Reporting Databases, including new development. - MS Access & Excel
- Support Other Offshore Finance Solutions, including new development. - MS Access & Excel
- Implementing system enhancements to ensure that changes and project initiatives meet the business requirements and delivered in accordance to the BAU change operating model perspective.
- Development work that involves automating manual processes or creating tactical solutions that will increase productivity and process improvements. With the ability to translate basic requirements into working solutions.
- Key stakeholder engagement. Regular communication / meetings advising stakeholders of issue resolution and status. Demonstrating a clear understanding of underlying issues and business impact to stakeholders.
- Participating in team meetings, regular code reviews and change approval meetings
- Documenting support processes, and development work following established team conventions
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- In-Depth understanding of, and experience with developing Microsoft Access and Excel to advanced levels i.e. VBA Programming with Access and Excel VB Script
- Experience with database design, data warehousing and query optimization (desirable)
- T-SQL Development including stored procedures, views and triggers (desirable)
- SQL Server Agent (desirable)
- PowerShell Scripts (desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science or equivalent certification
- Prior banking and financial instrument experience useful
- Business analysis and related documenting skills
