Are you ready to shape and influence the digital markets sector? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Digital Markets Adviser to join our innovative Digital Markets Unit (DMU). This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a pro-competition digital markets regime that will benefit both consumers and businesses in the UK.

The role
As a Senior Digital Markets Adviser, you will lead and contribute to the delivery of the CMA’s pro-competition digital markets regime. You will collaborate closely with economists, legal professionals, and business and finance advisers as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your role will involve working on substantive assessments and investigations to evaluate Strategic Market Status (SMS), setting rules for digital firms, monitoring compliance, and engaging in broader strategy and stakeholder work. This is a dynamic role that requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with strong research and analytical skills, capable of synthesising diverse information sources to develop and draft recommendations. Excellent organisational abilities are essential, as you will need to manage tasks and deliver results within challenging timeframes, often working with various stakeholders. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial, as is the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from different professional backgrounds. Experience in regulatory, legal, or investigatory case management will be highly beneficial.

Salary: £46,000 to £49,950 per annum plus excellent benefits
