Salary & Benefits: £98,685 to £116,100 base salary, depending on experience.

Business & Commercial Banking (B&CB) / Cash Management & Payments (CM&P) - Merchant Services Lab
Formed in recent months, under the Cash Management & Payments Platform, the core purpose of the Merchant Services lab is a multiyear transformational investment that will deliver significant income growth and transform our customer proposition, deepen relationships, and reduce customer attrition.
Working alongside Cardnet within the Commercial Bank will put you at the heart of the digitization agenda for some of our largest corporate clients. We're looking for someone who is passionate, inspiring, and customer-focused and can help the bank in delivering the best solutions adopting the latest technology trends within the bank's approved framework at a high quality.
What does a Quality Engineering Chapter Lead do at Lloyds?
Joining us as a Quality Engineering Chapter Lead, you'll play a key role managing the quality engineering team taking responsibility for the development of 6-8 staff and task managing a further 20+ partner resources. Our aim is to drive quality software solutions into production.
You will continually look at the strategy for how to best deliver our Quality Engineering practices, focusing on continuous improvement while encompassing our quality DevOps engineering principles within an Agile environment.
You'll remain hands on for roughly 30% of your time with quality assurance testing while the rest of your time is split between team leadership (we anticipate 50% of your time) and stakeholder management activities.

Specifically, you might undertake tasks such as test strategy review & creation, leading test automation activities, upskilling staff, risk management, supporting best practice initiatives, defect management and working within the cross functional teams to help build the local QA community.
What do we need to see in your application?
We like people who come from a variety of industry backgrounds and welcome having a diverse team. To be considered for the role as a minimum we would need to see the following:

Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a deep knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools including API testing tools like Postman.

Experience leading a small to a medium size team including line management, coaching & mentoring as well as task management.

An automation first Test approach with a passion for driving productivity and a focus on reducing risk.

In terms of programming languages, working in an environment where one of the following is required: JavaScript, React, NodeJS, SpringBoot, Azure Cloud.

Exposure to some of the following would be highly desirable! Toolsets including Selenium/Selenium Webdriver I/O, Cucumber, Jenkins, Jira, QC, Cloud technologies like Azure and GCP.

Exposure to Merchant Services/Merchant Acquiring would be beneficial, but not essential!
In terms of personal qualities, we look for team players who have good interpersonal skills and happy managing upwards/downwards with a wide variety of staff spread across multiple hubs, London, Bristol, India and Edinburgh.
