Job Description

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will oversee the Society’s digital blueprint through conceptualizing, implementing and facilitating new IT initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the Society through continuing Digital Transformation.

As lead member of the IT Department, you play a pivotal role in the management and coordination of all digital projects in the Society. You will play a strategic role in identifying and developing key technology trends to enhance organizational growth. You will promote good project management practices and improve project delivery outcomes, providing critical project information to senior management for decision making and implementation.

Leadership

1. Develop a coaching culture to instill continuous learning and encourage high performance by leading, managing and motivating the IT team
2. Ensure that the department’s objectives and targets are achieved
3. Oversee the successful completion of all new IT Projects, ensuring that the tendered and agreed requirements and specifications are met and are while within the allocated budget and mutually agreed timelines
4. Partner with the related business owners in understanding and improving process attributes to contribute to a positive internal stakeholder experience
5. Ensure that compliance to project management and procurement processes are adhered according to SOPs for Project Closure, Handover, audit purposes
6. Manage the overall IT budget with prudence and good governance

Vendor Management

1. Take the lead in managing these new projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services with contracted vendors
2. Facilitate new related projects initiated by the end users
3. Gather, validate, and analyze requirements pertaining to existing and new project initiatives according to the needs of the Society
4. Manage vendors to ensure that the scope of the project, schedule, and resources are aligned to the project requirements
