The Role

Contributing to our growth, you will create and implement account plans for existing customers who use our OptimiseRx and AnalyseRx technologies. We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic pharmacist to join our senior pharmacy management team as the Pharmacist Team Manager for Adult and Elderly Inpatient Mental Health Services in Mid and South Essex. The role will lead on the robust provision of medicines management expertise to adult and elderly inpatient and urgent care services. These posts would suit experienced pharmacy service managers with uncompromising standards who will strive to make a deep footprint on quality of care we provide to our patients. The post is based in Chelmsford, with responsibility for Mid and South Essex Inpatient and Urgent Care Services. The post holder will be expected to work seamlessly with the other role covering North and West Essex to provide exemplary clinical leadership across the whole of Essex.

As the service leads the posts direct the whole pharmacy inpatient mental health service on a day-to-day basis. They will be highly visible on wards in actively modelling best practice to and coaching our ward teams to ensure that our patients consistently receive the best pharmaceutical care. Working with our senior departmental team of specialists and within the wider Trust, you will set the professional standard and develop our pharmacy team members to achieve their best, and make the transition to the next level of their careers. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week), including participation in on-call, weekend, early, late and Bank Holiday rotas, as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and adherence to regulatory standards
• Oversee a dedicated team of pharmacy staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns
