Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the project team to complete projects on time, within budget and meeting quality parameters in line with the standards and expectations of the project, which includes complex Civil Project.

The Project Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

1. Coordinate internal project team reviews followed by an approval and review by the client of the work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems.
2. Communicate closely with project shareholders and corporate head office in Japan which includes agendas of highly technical matters and adjust project progress as necessary to ensure that the projects proceed in line with their full expectations. This position is also required to communicate or negotiate with relevant government authorities in several countries.
3. Provide strategic input, experience, and expertise to organize and set up the project for success.
4. Review status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep the management appraised of the progress on a regular basis.
5. Manage relevant parties to ensure project progress adheres to the schedule.
6. Monitor compliance of work with safety and health regulations.
7. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout all phases of the project.

Job requirements where it is an essential responsibilities, qualifications, experience and skills to perform the job:

1. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
2. Minimum 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Successful candidate is expected to be in a global construction company for the latest 3 years to be familiar with the latest outlook of the building and construction industry and current industrial requirements and regulations.
3. Minimum 10 years of experience in construction industry as Civil Engineer, handling large scale Civil engineering project(s) in various countries including Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Jakarta, Taipei.
4. At least 5 years of experience as General Manager, Construction Manager or equivalent in a construction company operating globally. Successful candidate is expected to possess extensive working knowledge in financial budgeting and people management as well.
5. At least 5 years of leading a team of multi-culture and multi-national project teams.
6. Extensive experiences working with global suppliers, vendors and contractors in construction industry and possess strong network with them.
7. Willing to work at Site office.
8. Business level Japanese skill of at least JLPT N1 or equivalent to ensure accurate communication on project's technical matters with Tokyo head office in Japan and engineers in HQ, as well as to negotiate or report to the managements of the shareholders as necessary.
