An exciting new position has become available at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a band 7 Research Sponsorship support manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the leadership and development of a small team of support staff facilitating home grown research in LUHFT.

We are looking for an enthusiastic manager with clinical research experience to develop our current portfolio of studies including CTIMP's and Device studies to PROM's development and tissue research.

The successful candidate will have experience of protocol development and delivery and be able to support all researchers from junior staff to senior professors. Experience in ethical and competent authority applications and grant submissions will be required. The Trust is part of the Liverpool Joint research office and it would be expected that this staff member would continue to attend those review meetings on behalf of the Trust.

School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences seek to hire the position of Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Research and Graduate Studies Office. The position will assist the school management primarily in the administration of research and graduate studies.

Key Responsibilities:

MOU and Joint/Dual Degree Agreement

• In charge of the drafting of new agreements, liaising with partner universities, attending meetings with partner universities for submission to Chair, Dean, Graduate College ExCo, Provost Council and MOE.
• Monitoring students admitted to the joint/dual degree programmes.
• Compile annual reports for reporting to the University.

Examination Planning and Conduct

• In charge of exam planning for every semester’s final exams.
• Take lead in conduct of decentralized exams.
• Arrangement of Division and School BOE.
• Analyse exam results of postgraduate students and identify at-risk students to report to the school management.

Thesis Submission

• Process thesis examination processes including checking of thesis format, arranging oral defence and assisting students to graduate on time.
• Ensure students meet the graduation requirement.

Course Registration

• To process the course registration and maintenance of courses.
• Support the administration for the approval of new courses as set by the school.

ACR Office Seminar Series

• To invite nominated speakers officially for the seminar.
• In charge of all logistics requirement for the setup of the seminar.
• To process honorarium for speakers.

Compilation of Statistical Data

• Generate data as requested by the School/College/University/MOE.
• Provide analysis and projections for School/College/University/MOE.
• Any other administrative tasks given by the University/School.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or higher degree, in any discipline
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in tertiary education
• IT knowledge, proficient in MS office application
• Demonstrated ability to understand and to work in an academic environment
• Demonstrated ability in analytical, planning and organizational abilities
• Meticulous
• Able to work independently and as a team

We are currently recruiting for an L&D Manager who will be responsible for driving engagement with all learning programmes (legal and technical, and skill and behavioural) for all our people located in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the Asia-Pac region to promote and develop learning.
• Legal Training: organise and develop the legal training offering for lawyers in Asia-Pac alongside our team of Knowledge Counsel (PSLs) and our training contacts locally.
• Global L&D Programmes: act as the Asia-Pac liaison for all global L&D programmes, working to: publicise and promote the programmes; build engagement with them; support attendance from local delegates; and help co-ordinate travel planning where necessary.
• Intranet: contribute content and ideas for development of L&D Intranet pages.
• Delivery: deliver skills training on the WFW University and other programmes.
• Trainees: develop and run Asia Trainees training programme in collaboration with the Grad Rec Team.
• Gap Analysis: work with the Head of HR for Asia to identify skills gaps and development plans.
• Mentoring: support the Global Mentoring and local Buddy Schemes in Asia-Pac.
• LMS: working with the L&D Administrator to ensure the Cornerstone Learning Management System is used to maximum impact for people in Asia-Pac. • Managing: co-manage the L&D Administrator alongside the SLM.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• Minimum five years’ experience as an L&D professional in a corporate or commercial environment
• Experience of working in a professional services firm (L&D or otherwise)
• Effective skills facilitator and trainer
• Able to initiate, develop and design engaging and interactive skills training sessions
• Confidence in dealing with senior internal clients and external providers
• Recent experience of working with an LMS, preferably Cornerstone
