Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance: Review and proof designs and multimedia content to ensure accuracy and quality before final production or publication. This includes video editing, sound design, and other multimedia components.
• Adaptability: Adapt designs and multimedia content for different platforms and formats, optimizing them for various online and offline channels, which may include websites, social media, email marketing, and video platforms.
• Video Production: Create and edit videos, including shooting and post-production tasks such as video cutting, color correction, audio enhancement, and special effects. Ensure the production of high-quality, engaging video content.
• Feedback Integration: Actively participate in design and multimedia critiques, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement in both graphic and video design processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred. A diploma in a relevant field is also acceptable.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Proficiency in other design tools and multimedia software is a significant plus.
• Demonstrated creativity with the ability to conceptualize and produce high-quality visuals, multimedia content, and video productions. Strong attention to detail is essential, whether working on static graphics or dynamic video content.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with team members, clients, and other stakeholders. This is especially important when collaborating on multimedia projects, where clear communication is crucial.

Job Description

The Facade Designer prepares detailed design documents throughout the project design process, from the concept design through to detailed design and administration of design during construction. This includes preparation of design drawings, design details, sketches and other required documents to produce final working documents.

Duties and responsibilities

1. To work with project architect and / or Design Manager to produce detailed working documents for assigned projects.
2. To update / maintain all reference files, reference materials and samples.
3. To revise documents for active projects as required.
4. To review shop drawings for completeness and conformance with design requirements.
5. To maintain design files for all design documents including working drawings, as built drawings, shop drawings, submittals and other such documents.
6. To assist in development of proposals, pricing and presentations for design work.
7. To conduct materials planning and work with the purchasing and contracts team to ensure that proper procedures and followed for the order, purchase, and reeipt of materials.
8. To perform additional assignments as needed to support the department.

You will be working with a team of multi-disciplinary graphic designers and artists to produce infographics and artwork for digital and print.

You’ll collaborate with teams across all sections of the newsroom, executing polished designs to illustrate news stories and creating promotional content to support the website, socials, events and podcasts.

Day to day you will:

• Translate complex financial data, business concepts and statistics into engaging graphics, including: charts, tables, maps, infographics, and timelines
• Produce creative artwork to illustrate stories, including vector and photo illustrations
• Present data in a way that is engaging, easily absorbed, and accurately portrayed
• Execute a range of projects simultaneously across digital and print mediums including website, social media, podcasts, newsletters and daily newspaper edition
• Work effectively with the wider editorial team to ensure graphics are delivered on time and are relevant and effective to the target audience

This position involves shift work that may occur on weekends, public holidays and at night with paid weekend and night loading.

Technical Responsibilities

Detailed review of drawings for scope and presentation, including checking of own and others’ work for technical accuracy and adherence to company standards

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in piping layout design
• Familiarity of relevant codes and standards for Oil and Gas Industry
