Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth
troubleshooting and repair. The Maintenance Technician performs troubleshooting and repair of all
production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers,
conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. The Maintenance Technician also performs
troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment, such as chillers, air compressors,

Maintenance Technician works directly with machine Operators, Supervisors, Preventative Maintenance

Reports to the Director of Pharmacy. Under the general supervision and work direction of the staff pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with departmental policies and procedures, that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Delivers medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units. Returns items from the nursing units as required.

• Leaves the pharmacy within 10 minutes of scheduled rounds.
• Delivers medications to the proper unit, picks up medications and materials in the “return to pharmacy” box.
• Completes rounds in a timely and efficient manner.
• Properly places refrigerated items in the refrigerator.

2. Participates in the maintenance and stocking of the unit-based automated dispensing cabinets.

• Gathers medications as required by re-stock report(s).
• Presents medications for checking before stocking.
• Is accurate in re-stocking the automated dispensing cabinets. Places the correct medication in the correct location and maintains correct counts and expiration/beyond-use dating.

3. Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms. This includes:

• The practice of proper aseptic technique
• Proper procedures for preparing all types of parenteral admixtures

• Proper technique for visual inspection of parenteral solutions and the documentation of quality control

• Picks up any expired/unusable controlled substances from nursing units and returns them to pharmacy for disposition.

• Wastes and/or expires controlled substances in accordance with department procedures and state and federal regulations.

6. Provides general assistance to the pharmacist staff.

• Assists pharmacist(s) in the order entry area as needed.
• Accurately pulls medications for checking.
• Labels medications accurately and appropriately when not available in unit of use packaging.
• Answers phone calls in the department and appropriately resolving issues or triaging to the pharmacist(s) as necessary.

7. Restocks anesthesia automated dispensing cabinets and other trays and kits.

• Ensures correct items are placed in the trays and kits.
• Ensures new proof of use sheets are added to the kits as needed.
• Accurately completes documentation of filling and securing as needed.
• Keeps drug supply areas adequately stocked.
• Receives the wholesaler order accurately and correctly as needed.
• Places the entire order into stock accurately and in a timely manner.
• Rotates stock to ensure older stock is used first.
• Checks off invoices as medications are received; gives the pharmacy purchaser and/or pharmacy management completed invoice(s) for payment approval.

8. Correctly and accurately packages bulk medications.

• Medications are packaged properly and labeled correctly.
• Controlled substance logs are maintained as required.
• Submits all packaging to the pharmacist for final check before placing product in stock.

JOB SUMMARY

The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.

Production Technician

Department: Operations/Manufacturing

Position Summary
 

The Production Technician is an essential and versatile member of the Plug Power manufacturing operation.  This role is responsible for the assembly and quality validation of Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology.  Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail.  The Production Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals. 
 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components utilized in manufacturing Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology; assembly tasks are electro-mechanical in nature
• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
• Operation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation work
• Operation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacks
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing process
• Follow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standards
• Maintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplace
• Must professionally communicate and collaborate with other Plug Power team members and supervisors
• Ability to complete manufacturing documentation as required in the course of work
• Perform other duties as assigned
   

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferred
• At least one (1) of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
• High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Comfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently
• Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand
• Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs
• Quality focused and detail-oriented
• Team player with a positive communication style
• Ability to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
   

Pay Rate:

$16.20 - $21.40
