HR Operational Excellence and Support

• First point of contact to provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and processes
• Execute full spectrum HR activities in relation to talent acquisition, management, retention and separation (recruitment, induction, performance appraisal, promotion, staff welfare, on/off-boarding etc.) for all staff schemes
• Liaise on job postings, and with approved recruitment agencies for temporary hiring requests
• Liaise for manpower budget/costings to ensure available funding for hiring
• Ensure timely staff contract renewals
• Assist HR related activities including but not limited to manpower planning, search, appointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure, performance management, mentorship programme
• Assist in HR exercises and programme implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor degree with at least 2-4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a large organization; Diploma holders will be considered based on merit of experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.)
• Good knowledge of Employment Act and Labor Laws.
• Strong HR administration experience (in the academia or research sector would be advantageous)

The HR & Payroll Executive is pivotal in supporting the Local MU organization by fostering a performance culture and enhancing associate engagement. This multifaceted role encompasses various HR functions, including day-to-day HR operations, signature HR processes, payroll delivery, data management, policy and handbook compilation, SOP review and updates, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations. With accountability for executing the local HR agenda, the HR & Payroll Executive plays a crucial role in driving organizational success and employee satisfaction.

You will play an important role, such as:

Payroll Management:

• Oversee and manage the payroll process for employees within the Malaysia MU organization.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, bonuses, and other compensations.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any payroll-related queries or issues.

Policy Compilation and Handbook Development:

• Compile, review, and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and organizational guidelines.

Ensure the dissemination of updated policies and handbooks to employees and conduct training sessions if necessary.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Review and Updates:

• Work closely with relevant departments to implement changes to SOPs as needed.
• Ensure that all SOPs are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.

HR Service Support:
