• Monitor the progress of the organisation’s initiatives such as readying the unit to pivot towards a digital offering and make adjustments to fit the changing market conditions.

2. Increase market share in the desired market segment as according to the business strategy

• Ensure that the strategic plans from the individual departments support the over-arching market strategy through: i) Articulation of the strategic thematic themes in the business plans; ii) Working with the department heads to operationalize the appropriate behaviours to reflect the customer focus strategy; iii) Maintain formal and informal links with customers, regulators etc.; iv) Develop the external brand image to reach out to the wider community

3. Provide leadership in the organizational to deliver a superior performance amidst a challenging operating environment

• Sustain and increase organisational excellence through the framework of business excellence in the areas of leadership, Seihan planning, information, processes, people, innovation and customers.
• Develop and maintain research and development programs to ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of its sector, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, and provides the required range and quality of services.

4. Provide and role model the people development strategy for the organization

• Direct the implementation of equal opportunities policies in all aspects of the organization.
• Strategically direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the organization complies with all health and safety and other statutory regulations.
• Direct and control the work and resources of the organization and ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure that it achieves its mission and objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate level of intellect, preferably with a higher professional degree in management or electronics
• At least 10 years of senior-level experience of management of people and resources, preferably in MNC environment.
• Experience in establishing business goals and strategies.
• Highly driven with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership qualities, collaborative with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Japanese (written and spoken) with ability to communicate effectively to liaise with various stakeholders in Japan HQ and in our subsidiaries in the ASEAN region including India, UAE and Australia.
