Hazel Cottage is a new school meeting the needs of autistic pupils aged 4 – 11 years who may have additional needs. Hazel Cottage is proposed to be a 35 place school.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic research coordinator to join the sport and exercise, imaging and implant research team at the RNOH, led by the Chair of Orthopaedics.

The post holder will have responsibility for the coordination of musculoskeletal and implant imaging studies of recreational and professional health, sport and exercise.

The post holder will support the maintaining of the project schedule, and work towards meeting key milestone and deliverables.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate person to join this team, which will work with surgeons, study participants and engineers at the RNOH.

The successful candidate will support the day to day running of the projects (from participant engagement, study design, data analysis).

The research coordinator will perform data collection of musculoskeletal imaging studies of physical exercise as well as patients with musculoskeletal problems and implants.

We are a multidisciplinary team including orthopaedic surgeons, engineers, biotechnologists, radiologists and computer scientists. We work together to provider better informed diagnosis, care and patient monitoring through the study of health and disease, implant performance, surgical planning and the development of innovative technologies in orthopaedics.

Ensure that the requirements of the research program are fulfilled, including:
• Performing data collection and processing of musculoskeletal imaging studies. This includes, but not limited to, the anonymisation and cataloguing of the imaging and clinical/patient/study participant data, and maintaining the database.
• Liaising with study participants regarding their taking part in the study for musculoskeletal screening and self-assessment questionnaires, continuing the study activities, reporting of results.
• Ensuring personal info relevant to the studies are received securely and processed in compliance with GDPR requirements.

About the role

The post holder will be responsible for providing day to day reception and administrative support to the Trust Learning and Development Department. The post holder will support the Learning and Development Senior Administrators in delivering an effective and efficient administration service, to assist in the provision of a portfolio of education and training programmes including supporting with associated reporting information, in accordance with the quality assurance framework. This will include general clerical and administrative duties that facilitate the administrative elements of MAST training programmes. The post holder will be required to use their initiative to support a range of processes and ensure the effective provision of a quality service.



Bishopsgate Learning Centre hosts a variety of training each week, with 8 training rooms and up to 40 training events per week. The post-holder will provide a welcoming environment for trainers and delegates, setting up rooms and equipment for each event and ensuring that registers and other training materials are available. The post holder will also participate in shared activities across the Learning and Development Department to ensure the smooth running of learning and development systems including posting new course information on the system, providing first-line support for users and administering regular liaison between L&D and a range of stakeholders. Our team forms part of Maudsley Learning, who design and deliver training programmes and education services to meet the continuing professional development needs of individuals in the healthcare workforce, and others including colleagues in social services, policing, schools and in the private sector. 1. Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for Bishopsgate Learning Centre.
2. 8. Keeping signage up-to-date and working with colleagues in L&D, Facilities, ICT and external audio equipment suppliers to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose.
9. Monitor the cleanliness, reporting of faulty equipment to internal and external providers, health & safety, and fire regulations of Bishopsgate Learning Centre.
10. To deal with incoming post and ensuring that outgoing post is prepared accurately and timely for distribution each day.
11. Support quality assurance activities including collecting user statistics, capturing user feedback and assisting with the development of local policies and procedures.
12. Support the development of training through team discussions and planning meetings.
13. Support the promotion and marketing of training, including assisting with the maintenance and development of relevant Intranet and website pages. In addition to proof reading of promotional material.
14. Assist with maintaining service levels at other training sites and supporting training events held by the department. This includes providing support with Induction programmes via attending venues off sites as and when required.
15. To support with the production of training materials, including handouts, registers and with the trainer/facilitator ensuring presentations and materials are up to date.
16. Ensure that loaned training equipment (including laptops and mannequins) is available as needed and is in good working order and returned.

18. Support the L&D Team with the ordering of stationary, materials and equipment via the procurement system.

WHAT YOULL DO Clinical Role: Southampton PICU is a 16 bedded mixed intensive care unit admitting around 1000 patients each year. We are the regional referral centre for Wessex and run the combined Southampton Oxford retrieval team (SORT) service for the Wessex / Oxford network, moving around 500 critically ill and injured children per year. Our case mix includes cardiac, ECMO, neonatal and neurosurgical cases as well as the full range of general and paediatric sub-speciality work. We are the Wessex paediatric major trauma centre, with a dedicated paediatric emergency department on site. The successful applicant will form part of the middle grade rota for PICU, which includes shifts for the retrieval service. Full retrieval training will be provided for those without paediatric transport experience. We run a comprehensive induction and training programme for all staff starting PICU.
