Currently, we are looking for IT Business Analyst which would be based in Singapore

Job description

· To ensure the business/operational objectives of the new business requirements are well defined

· Performing systematic business analysis

· Validating business requirements to align with business/operations needs as well as IT architecture and security standards

· Designing functional solutions & user workflows and documenting Functional Specifications.

· To walkthrough requirement and proposed solutions to all stakeholders and get it reviewed and signoff

· To develop SIT/UAT/NRT scope and approach. To guide Testing team in writing test scenarios/cases and review to get signoff from stakeholders. To rationalize test cases when needed to match with available resources and target timeline

· To validate SIT test results produced by testing team to signoff

· Assist users in planning/executing UAT, analyzing defects, and defining defects priority for fix delivery by development team

· Documenting/reviewing user manuals and release notes as required

· Assist in providing tactical/strategic solutions for new client requirements

· Assist in the conversion/migration exercise where necessary

· For production defects, perform functional analysis and propose solutions

· Ensure Bank compliance policies and CIB ITO APAC standards/practices are strictly followed

· To participate in technical design reviews and contribute to improve overall solution offered

Requirements

· Graduate degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent

· 5-8 years of total experience with last 2-3 years as IT Business Analyst, preferably in the domain of Trade Financing or supply chain Financing/accounts payable/accounts receivable

· Knowledge in Agile and Waterfall SDLC mix project delivery environment with large number of stakeholders and users involved

· Strong functional & business analysis skills with ability to communicate and bridge between business/operations & IT

· Good functional experience in Supply chain/Trade Finance/Electronic invoicing applications is preferred

· Good team player with great commitment and attitude

· Good communication and coordination skill among multiple teams that are cross cultural and cross country

· Ability to work independently

· Familiar with standard formats such as XML, SWIFT, EDIFACT, ISO20022 & data transformations

· Hands on database SQL knowledge

· Good understanding and knowledge of key security subjects (SSL/TLS, PKI, Certificates) and user authentication solutions

· Experience in functional solutions design for large web applications and micro services, Well-versed with integrations and APIs, REST. Designing functional solutions for high volume, low latency, and high-availability and performance requirements of web applications

· IT Design and development exposure is a definite plus

Position

The successful candidate will be an IT Business Analyst joining the Payment Systems Team, translating business & operation requirements into functional & system requirements as a part of the continual evolution of the existing payments platform for our client in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering with business, operations & other system interfaces
• Perform system/functional analysis to facilitate the functional requirements document (FRS)
• Creation of operational workflows, and use cases diagrams
• Contribute towards the relevant sections of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Provide viable solutions that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and delivers business initiatives
• Review and sign-off the artefacts and solutions produced by the technical teams and vendor
• Provide SIT, UAT, regression, performance testing and rehearsal testing support
• To ensure successful implementation of solution on schedule

Contributing Responsibilities

• Engage vendors, other application/project teams for new payments platform development
• Contribute towards the end-to-end solutioning for new business products/offerings
• To share expertise by providing training and knowledge sharing sessions
• Support post production issues and provide necessary guidance to BAU teams

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

• 7+ years of IT experience in banking software development
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
• Able to work independently or in a team to resolve issues and/or identify solutions in a timely manner
• In depth experience in Payments, Cash Management and Transaction Banking projects
• Extremely familiar with Payments and Collections/Receivables (TT, RTGS, ACH Bulk Payments, Direct Debit, Real-Time Payments, Cheques, Virtual Account, Liquidity Mgmt) and Operations BAU processing, across the APAC region
• Sound domain knowledge in Corporate Banking, Trade and Wealth Management
• Sound functional analysis and project management skills
• Hands-on experience with Payment Operations processing, data/interface mapping and troubleshooting
• Practice of SDLC and/or Agile Scrum

Good knowledge on:

• CBPR+ ISO20022 payment standard and SWIFT messages
• Straight-thru processing (STP) and operational efficiency
• Core banking and foreign exchange transactions
• Transaction reporting and advices
• Payments filtering and AML
• Reconciliation and settlement
• Cash flow management and financial / regulatory reporting
• Payment transformation lifecycle and implementation methodology
