An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As part of a friendly and professional in-house workforce you will be assisting other skilled tradespeople, carrying out minor repairs, as well as property clearance to our housing stock, for both Tenanted and Void (empty) properties.

The post of Maintenance Assistant is career graded and if you’re keen to get involved in manual trades and currently don’t have these skills, or are part-skilled, we are happy to offer appropriate development opportunities for candidates with a great work ethic and can do positive approach to develop their skills and experience within building maintenance trade disciplines.
You will have a customer focussed can-do approach to their work and have a general awareness of basic health and safety within the building maintenance and construction environment.
Working at height experience, asbestos awareness and registration of the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
The ability to work unsupervised and in accordance with strict Health & Safety guidelines is also essential.
