Job Description:
This role is designed for the individual who is high-energy, positive, organized, self-motivated, friendly, goal-oriented and has the ability to have fun while accomplishing university goals. The Graduate/AUG Enrollment Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for students who are interested in a graduate or AUG program. Our team will be trained to answer questions about all programs, provide excellent customer service, set up appointments with counselors and assist with informational events.
Work Performed
Call, email, text, and Uchat prospective students following the GPS Contact Strategy to build rapport with prospective students, answer basic questions and move them to the next stage in the admissions funnel for our graduate and AUG programs.
Set up appointments for prospective students to meet with Admissions/Enrollment Counselors.
Answer incoming calls and provide basic program information or direct students to the appropriate office.
Monitor and answer questions that come in through the university chat feature on the PLNU website.
Assist with scheduling and taking appointments through the department Calendly.
Assist with monitoring Graduate and AUG email inboxes.
Accurately use CRM in order to record call actions taken and leave appropriate notes on the student’s profile.
Provide representation of Pt. Loma in an accurate and positive manner to each prospective student.
Provide a clear and accurate explanation of basic program details and the admissions process to prospective students.
Assist Admissions/Enrollment Counselors with special call lists as directed.
Assist Admissions personnel with Informational Events as needed.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred
Qualifications
Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University.
Must be highly motivated with a high level of enthusiasm for customer service/positive student experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work some evenings.
Ability to exercise interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with prospective students, external contacts, faculty and staff.
