Experienced health care staff are required to provide reablement for patients as part of this new service within Mersey Care’s community division.

The Band 3 Reablement worker posts will be based in Longmoor House, on the Aintree Hospital site and will be supporting individuals to reach increased levels of independence and return home.

Successful candidates will be expected to work across a 24/7 shift pattern and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn, develop and practice a variety of skills, as well as being a valued member of our exceptional multi-disciplinary team.

The Reablement Worker will function as part of the multidisciplinary team within a sub-acute intermediate care setting to provide a seamless service to patients.

The post holder will continue to develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks and will report to a registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional.

The Reablement Worker will provide general / specific rehabilitation, reablement and personal care as specified below for a patient group and will be proficient and competent to work across professional disciplines. The reablement worker will also be supported to achieve competencies to enable them to work in-between the disciplines.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated staff nurse to join our established and friendly nurse led team at the Hayes Renal Satellite Unit.

Hayes Renal Unit is a purpose built, haemodialysis unit with 24 stations, based in a tree lined street opposite the Beck Theatre in Hayes. There is free car parking available for staff.

We are open from 07.00hrs until 23.30hrs 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). We work a variety of shifts including long and short day shifts and long and short twilight shifts. The successful candidate is, therefore, expected to be flexible and able to work all shift patterns to accommodate the service needs.

You do not need to have haemodialysis experience as we offer on-site training .We are part of Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust and staff have access to all the training facilities they offer, this includes the renal course.

The Personality Disorder Pathway Hub is a new and exciting team covering the whole of Nottingham City and County. We work alongside our Local Mental Health Team colleagues to provide support and structured Psychological Therapies to clients who have a diagnosis of or may suffer with challenges associated with Personality Disorder and complex emotional needs.

Our team will also support with clients on in-patient wards to think about how to engage them in treatment and support a safe and successful transition back into the community.

The role of Carer Peer Support worker has been developed specifically for people who have supported a friend or loved one who is experiencing mental distress. Carer Peer Support Workers use their experiences of caring to offer empathy, hope and understanding to others. In this role, the Carer Peer Support worker will offer peer support alongside practical assistance to enable people to feel in control of their lives and their own unique recovery process. Within a relationship of mutuality and shared experience, they will promote choice, self determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valued roles and connection to local communities.

The Carer Peer Support Worker will act as a recovery champion within the team and an ambassador of recovery for the Trust with external agencies and partner organisations. Peer workers will also be expected to invest in their own personal and professional development as well as supporting ongoing development of peer roles in the Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Project Manager to work in Nottinghamshire county to support a new Health Innovation and Inequality fund (HIFF) project. The role will be to oversee a project that aims to improve the allocation of resources to transform and expand existing provision to create a new integrated SMD clinical team. Severe and Multiple Disadvantage (SMD) is a combination of three or more disadvantages. This HIIF funding will provide new clinical capacity in underserved areas with no or insufficient provision. This investment will transform existing fragmentated pieces of clinical provision for those with SMD into a dynamic, evidence based integrated offer that will address physical health, mental health and drug and alcohol dependency problems at the same time.

The project lead will be responsible for working with the strategy group to plan and deliver on this transformation of services, liaising with all providers and ensuring evaluation is measured and reported on. The project will be looking at how the physical health care clinicians, mental health clinicians, alcohol long term conditions team and drug and alcohol liaison teams can work more effectively together as a virtual team.



Manage the transformation (HIFF) project aimed at improving access to physical and mental health services for people experiencing SMD.

Work with the HIFF strategy group to identify the key drivers for the project and plan the work required.

Work autonomously, using own initiative, prioritizing workload, acting independently within appropriate guidelines, deciding when appropriate to refer to line management.

Identify areas of development and improvement in the county to enable services to work together, this may involve managing access to systems and information sharing agreements.

Radiation Physics are recruiting a Deputy Head of Nuclear Medicine Physics. We are looking for an experienced person in nuclear medicine imaging and molecular radiotherapy to lead our busy molecular radiotherapy service.

The successful candidate will be an HCPC registered clinical scientist, a certificated MPE with extensive relevant experience. We are looking for someone who could act as an RPA or RWA however support will be given for promising individuals to obtain one or more of these within an agreed timeframe.

We provide a clinical, scientific and technical service to the Diagnostic and Oncology Directorates of the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust at both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells sites and to other Departments of the Trust as required. The Section provides a Molecular Radiotherapy Service and provision for support to PET-CT.

The department provides training across all disciplines and levels. The department supports staff undertaking HSST, STP and RCT (and equivalences) or working towards professional certifications.

There may be opportunities to be involved in Radiation Safety activities across the wider Radiation Physics group should the post holder be interested in this.”

The post holder will work alongside the Nuclear Medicine Physics team to ensure that all radiation practices within the Nuclear Medicine Departments at MTW comply with regulatory requirements, national guidance and best practice.

They will use their own professional judgement when providing complex, wide-ranging expert advice to clinical staff on the optimisation of patient imaging, quality assurance, radiation dosimetry, radiation safety and the interpretation of scientific results. The highly-specialist, complex and advanced nature of this expert advice may mean that there is no immediate recourse to another clinical scientist.

In particular, the post holder will be expected to lead the molecular radiotherapy programme, including running the established services (which currently routinely includes Ra-223 Xofigo, I-131 ablation and thyrotoxicosis therapies, and occasional Lu-177 Dotatate with a view to establishing a Lu-177 PSMA service in the near future) and working with the Head of Nuclear Medicine Physics and Head of Radiation Physics where required to continually develop the services, including introduction of novel therapies where appropriate.

The Undergraduate Centre runs a pioneering and thriving undergraduate teaching team which includes Clinical Teaching Fellows in different specialties.

The successful applicant will plan and deliver teaching in a variety of formats including:
· Tutorials
· Clinical skills/bedside teaching
· Clinical Problem Based Learning (CPBL) tutorials
· Student Grand Rounds
· Communication skills teaching
· Assisting/complementing consultant teaching
· Simulation if required
They will also be required to do Work Based Assessments and participate in OSCE examinations. He/she will organise and co-ordinate the teaching programme in Medicine for St George’s University of London medical students/other partner universities/International students and that will include T Year, P Year, Final Year and also Physician Associate students. Some cross cover for other Clinical Teaching Fellows will also be expected.
The format of teaching will be tailored to suit individual year group and also cater to the learning requirements and objectives as set out by the Medical Schools.He/she will be expected not to take annual leave at times of the year when there are important teaching duties like student inductions. They also need to ensure that appropriate room bookings are done and be available in the teaching centre to facilitate teaching sessions booked within their area of responsibility for consultants/ other faculty during times when the undergraduate room booking co-ordinator is on leave.
Training in teaching methods will be provided. The successful applicant will be invited toundertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Education (based on seat availability)and will be eligible for an Honorary Lectureship at St. George’s University of London.
Although the post is based at St Helier Hospital, the post holder will be expected to teach at all sites within the Trust and also occasionally at St George’s Hospital.This role may also require to plan, organise and facilitate OSCES both as part of the students final assessment for their core rotations at Epsom and also for the Trust’s involvement with OSCE Workshops. There are also possibilities to support the FY1 teaching programme if required or for occasional weekend or evening teaching in conjunction with promotional events held but notice will be given several months in advance.
Other activities
There are ample opportunities and support for Clinical Audit, research projects, presentation of cases and papers, and for writing case reports and papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

This is an exciting year long opportunity open to senior medical trainees/fellows (or trainees with post MRCP acute medicine experience) as an Out of Programme Experience or those have recently appointed to the specialist register in a medical discipline. The aim of the post is to allow the incumbent to become both proficient in, and credentialed in, a wide variety of skills related to medical leadership and patient safety within the Leading for Quality programme.

The post-holder will also undertake regular clinical duties at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and should have both MRCP and experience in managing acute medical conditions. The post holder will spend 1 week in their chosen speciality, 3 weeks in patient safety (or equivalent) and be expected to take part in the 1 in 5 rota at the City Campus Monday to Thursday and Sat/Sun 16.30pm - 02.30am on a 1 in 5 basis.

The post will be approximately 40% clinical and 60% medical leadership and patient safety. The clinical role will be based at the City Campus of NUH and the medical leadership and patient safety role will be across NUH sites to include Queens Medical Centre.

This Leading for Quality Fellowship (LfQ) will support the candidate to develop an attractive portfolio of non-technical skills, knowledge and experience, by working closely with the senior leadership of one of the largest and most complex NHS Trusts in the United Kingdom. This opportunity is for those who aspire towards significant medical leadership positions and/or roles with a significant patient safety/clinical governance element in the future. This will be an invaluable investment towards securing the best Consultant posts in top hospitals worldwide.

The fellowship will also provide the candidate with training and experience in a number of different Patient Safety techniques such as the Royal College of Physicians, ‘Structured Judgement Review’ method, part of the National Mortality Case Record Review programme and how to conduct a Serious Incident review. The Senior Clinical Fellow will also undertake one or two Patient Safety Improvement projects as part of their tenure.

This post provides a great opportunity to combine an interest in patient safety with clinical duties. The post holder will join the wider Acute Rescue Team (ART) in contributing to the out of hours provision on the City Campus.

• To utilise local and national networks and experts to support the delivery of improvements in patient safety [such as through thenational Q community], the NUH Patient Safety Team and theTrent Simulation and Clinical Skills Centre.
• Work closely with the Programme leads for the Leading for Quality Fellowship and collaborate towards the efficiency and sustainability of the Fellowship Programme.

Proposed Timetable [12 months from August 2024]
• 0.4 WTE to support the Patient Safety and Quality projects
• 0.2 WTE as Academic Time (to support 60 credits of a higher qualification of Postgraduate Certificate in ‘Quality and Patient Safety Improvement’)
• Up to 0.4 WTE for clinical work (acute medicine twilight shift).
• On call duties: Mon- Sun, 16.30-02.30 on a 1 in 5 basis.
