Position Overview

Synapxe Procurement Contract Management department provides contract management support not only for Synapxe own corporate contracts, but also provide consolidated and centralised contract management support for the clinical, business and healthcare analytics IT systems of various public healthcare hospitals and institutions in Singapore. The role will assume the general and specific responsibilities of Contract Management, with particular emphasis on drafting, review and preparation of Requests for Proposals and IT contracts, managing contract templates, renewals, policies and repositories, and advising on legal contracting issues.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide contract management support in relation to IT services
• Draft, review and finalise various types of contracts and agreements, including IT contracts on system/software/hardware acquisition, maintenance contracts, non-disclosure agreements etc.
• Review schedules and requirement specifications for IT contracts, including service level agreements and functional/technical requirements
• Advise on legal contracting issues
• Draft and finalise documents relating to Request for Proposal (RFP)
• Work closely with various internal stakeholders such as procurement, project and legal teams during the RFP and contract drafting processes
• Support various stakeholders in respect of governance and approvals before final contract award and execution
• Provide administrative and documentation repository support to various stakeholders

Requirements

• Preferably bachelor of Law degree, with minimum 6-8 years’ prior experience gained with an MNC or with a reputable commercial law firm
• Excellent command of English, accurate and concise drafting and writing skills, are essential
• Collegial and effective communicator with ability to work with all colleagues and stakeholders
• Competent knowledge of basic contract and procurement related laws, and related governance and processes
• Agile, analytical and meticulous, with ability to work independently and effectively under pressure
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and standard case management tools

Product Line Development

Profit and Loss Management

• Develop strategies to maximize the profitability of the new line of business
• Monitor and analyze sales data, pricing margins, and costs
• Regularly analyze profit and loss performance of the furniture line and make data-driven decisions

Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationship with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, contracts, and pricing agreement
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standard and delivery expectations

Quality Assurance

• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures
• Conduct regular inspections and quality audit of suppliers

Team Management and Leadership

Job Requirements:

• A stay updated furniture trend industry expertise in sourcing and supply chain
• Minimum Bachelor in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Proven sourcing experience in home decorative styling accessories eg: dining tables, TV console, cupboard etc preferably in a global context
• Strong knowledge of the furniture industry, including market trends, materials, and production processes

Import and Export Documentation:

The Procurement function reports to the CEO.

You will report to the Head of Procurement and be part of a strategic team to provide direction for (i) sourcing strategy, (ii) policy and governance, (iii) category spend management, (iv) contract and supplier management, (v) cross-functional stakeholders’ collaboration and (vii) procurement operations; using high degree of analytical thinking, influencing and judgement skills.

You will be responsible in (a) leading sourcing strategy for the assigned spend categories, (b) ensuring no disruption on the essential services and critical supplies, (c) optimizing the procurement needs (requirement specifications) of stakeholders while leveraging on HPB’s overall purchasing power.
