Impact and Role Contribution:

As a Manager, Controls Assurance, you will join our high performing Chief Controls Office teams and assist in supporting the business to identify, assess and manage the risk inherent in providing a range of operations services to the CBA group.

You will also partner with key stakeholders to deliver insights, utilising analytical skills and complex data. You will need the adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with the extended leadership team across Line 2 and Group Audit.

In any given week you will:

• Assist in the Automation strategic pillar in becoming more efficient and effective in both executing assurance and testing, through the innovative use of Automated Assurance Tools, Data Analytics, Continuous Monitoring and Modelling.
• Provide Line 1 assurance through testing complex automated and business controls that support the Bank’s critical business.
• Drive continuous improvement of the controls environment through implementation of continuous control monitoring, automation and control rationalisation.
• Validate and present findings, document test plans, results and conclusions clearly and concisely
• Take ownership of assigned internal customer relationships using strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, keeping stakeholders informed of assignments, emerging opportunities where analytics can help achieve desired business outcomes

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in a Risk Management, Assurance or Audit environment including the identification, planning, testing and reporting on automated and technology dependent manual controls across various business processes
• Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems
• Influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient with one of the following tools-Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Servicenow as an end user and/or Advanced excel skills  
• Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks

Your qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in financial services (or similar environment), Big 4 and/or risk management highly valued.
• Relevant Tertiary Degree/ Relevant professional accreditations

Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will perform administrative, reporting, and analytical tasks of varying type, size, and complexity to produce accurate, quality work products and maintain real-time visibility of project status. Responsibilities include:

• Track deliverables, major events and milestones, meetings, briefings, and develop plans to ensure products are prepared and delivered on time
• Coordinate and prepare monthly status reports, program management plan, program briefings, program status reports, requests for information, and other documentation as required
• Coordinate and participate in program meetings (i.e. Program Management Reviews, team meetings, and conferences)
• Record, track and manage actions and activities for the Contract Leadership Team
• Perform quality assurance reviews on file plan and Quality Management Systems

Basic Qualifications:

• Current college student working toward undergraduate degree
• Direct experience managing projects from start to finish with understanding of all the moving parts of a project and how they connect and affect one another
• Experience implementing change management strategies to help employees adjust to new processes
• Knowledge of creating Excel spreadsheets and gathering data in enterprise management clouds (i.e. Workday) to organize and analyze project and other data, including financial and employee reports
• Ability to create comprehensive documentation and reports in a clear and presentable form
• Ability to monitor and meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
• Keen attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

About the Role:

As a Control Systems Technician, you will focus on equipment troubleshooting and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply labeling systems, scales, HMI systems, and control cabinets. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Maintain material handling control systems, industrial, motor control systems, servo and frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems
• Monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and partner with Controls Technicians and Mechanics to resolve equipment electrical problems that create performance deficiencies
• Utilize Operation System Assessment reports to improve material handling system reliability through preventive maintenance tasks completion and identifies deficiency repairs
• Escalate to operations and network support resources for guidance and assistance to restore equipment back to operational mode with minimal downtime impact for Operations
• Communicate technical issues to RME and Operations Leadership

Basic Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of experience with Motor Controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components) 
• 2+ years of experience with repair of control network components 
• 1+ years of experience with HMI components 
• 1+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs
• 1+ years of experience with Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Electronic Technology (or similar)
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming
• Experience supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation systems
• Project Management experience with the ability to train others
• Experience with robotic maintenance
• Experience with AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC’s and PLC components
• Experience with SCADA systems and KPI’s 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer provides strategic and tactical support to Manufacturing by executing quality activities; such as:  advanced quality planning to support High Performance Product Development (HPPD) process, Supplier development activities, Corrective Actions, and reporting to maintain and improve customer satisfaction, eliminate errors and improve efficiency.  As a result, the Procurement Team depends on the Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to be fully engaged with the global supply base to ensure that all direct purchased materials meet all performance specification requirements and do so over time to eliminate line downs, recalls, or other quality failures resulting in customer dissatisfaction.

Tactical Supplier Quality:  15%

Independently, and in collaboration with assigned suppliers within the global supply base, process and execute quality activities.  Maintain effective business communications/relationships with suppliers and internal customers to understand any quality impacts to production to proactively disseminate relevant information to all stakeholders and meet customer expectations and business requirements.  

Factory Support:  20%

Independently, and or in collaboration with others, exercise functional knowledge to effectively and efficiently execute business processes that ensure the support of ongoing production and supplier communications.  Passionately lead fellow employees by communicating the vision, engaging employees and empowering them to become change agents who are prepared and able to successfully lead the organization forward to embrace the future.

Supplier Development: 50%

As assigned and in collaboration with others, initiate projects, communicate project updates, identify barriers to project success and implement project plans to provide support to the organization’s objectives and supplier development goals.

  • Familiarity with software tools like ASPICE and AUTOSAR a plus
• ASQ certified Quality Manager, Engineer, or Auditor is preferred
• Lean six sigma Green or Black Belt certification with project experience is preferred

As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting quality-related activities to deliver consistent; high quality documents; services; products and processes.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing quality engineering support within new product development, manufacturing, or system/services support.

• Provide quality support of validation and change control activities, collaborating with engineering, operations, regulatory, and other quality teams.
• Ensure that facilities, utilities, and equipment (FUE) used in the support of the Quality System are developed, validated, and maintained in compliance with regulatory and Abbott requirements.
• Review documentation for accuracy, clarity, consistency, completeness, and compliance for multiple projects. Plan and complete assignments with a wide degree of difficulty.
• Analyze data, procedures, and requirements to ensure quality and compliance. Collaborate with alternate functional teams to ensure consideration is given to financial and business outcomes.
• Coordinate activities across impacted groups. Accept ownership and responsibility for decisions.
• Effectively engage with team members. Provide guidance and training to various functions and colleagues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Reviews pre-defined deliverables/activities as identified in the Validation Process and/or Product Quality Process/project plan or equivalent project plan.

• Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues

•             Identifies areas for process improvement and provides supporting information for change, including reasons and justifications.

•             Participates in the development or modification of validation packages and deliverables, including, assessments (including risk assessments, e.g., FMEAs), plans, requirements, and protocols.

•             Works independently with objectives given by the Quality Manager.

•             Can plan and coordinate own work according to higher level project schedules.

•             Review documentation for accuracy, clarity, consistency, completeness and compliance to internal and external requirements for multiple projects, including but not limited to specifications/requirements documents, valida tion protocols & reports, trace matrices, validation events, change control packages, etc.

•             Report unexpected events, issues or software bugs which occur during validation to project team and management.

•             Assist team members and cross functional colleagues in meeting their goals by providing coaching and mentoring as needed.

•             Drive to meet validation schedule as aligned with project(s) goals.

• Lead the investigation, resolution and prevention of product and process nonconformances, CAPA investigations, or other quality system records

• Lead in the completion and maintenance of risk analysis

• End-to-end Regulatory Compliance Process Review- Review the robustness of the end-to-end regulatory compliance process in partnership with Country Compliance including the receipt and interpretation of rules and regulations as applicable, their documentation in the Compliance Regulatory Control Matrix (RCM), the mapping from the Compliance RCM to the MCA, and the testing of rules and regulations. • Ensuring Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) Testing – including Annual Risk Assessments, Quarterly Risk Assessments, Continuous Risk Monitoring, identification of appropriate ARCM content continuously for VN DTU.
• Ensure in absence of R&C Lead that the Oversight, Coordination and Validation – Including overseeing the management of issues and CAP lifecycle as required for the Divestiture construct, managing Risk Exceptions and ensure timely renewals, as required are done on time.
• Training and Awareness- Engage relevant SMEs (Eg. MCA, AML etc.) for training of country DT staff on risk and control concepts, processes, tools, and on effective issue self-identification and testing to create an environment of permanent Control Readiness.

•    Appuyer les événements d’exception et CAPA, du point de vue technique de l’AQ, en veillant à ce que l’impact des incidents soit évalué de manière appropriée et documentée;
•    Établir les changements de processus qui ont un impact sur la qualité ou la réglementation, tout en assurant une communication en temps opportun et la mise en œuvre des changements conformément aux exigences réglementaires;
•    Soutenir le PQR (Examen de la qualité des produits) et les examens de surveillance (système d’eau, lutte antiparasitaire, surveillance environnementale, programmes de stabilité, système d’air comprimé, programme de nettoyage);
•    Remplacer le superviseur AQ - SQ et supporter le Spécialiste Assurance Qualité en cas d’absence.

Compétences requises 

•    Baccalauréat ou niveau d’études équivalent dans une discipline scientifique pertinente ou une autre expérience technique / scientifique ou de l’industrie avec une exposition suffisante aux industries pharmaceutiques ou connexes;
•    Compréhension complète des exigences de fabrication d’ingrédients pharmaceutiques actifs (IPA) et de BPF;
•    Expérience des industries pharmaceutiques ou des industries contrôlées par les normes GMP (BPF);
•    Détenir les connaissances des systèmes de qualité internationaux et locaux et des lois et normes de conformité;
•    Connaissance des outils de la Suite Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.,);
•    Être familiarisé avec l’utilisation de systèmes informatisés;
•    Posséder d’excellentes compétences en communications orales et écrites en français et en anglais;
•    Avoir le sens de l’organisation, de l’autonomie et du leadership.

The Opportunity 

This position works out of our Victoriaville, QC location in the Established Pharmaceuticals division (EPD). In this division, we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.

Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting the PQR (Product Quality Review) and monitoring reviews (water system, pest control, environmental monitoring, stability programs, compressed air system, cleaning program).

What You’ll Do 

•    Develop and lead site relevant QA programs assuring continuity of supplies and successful execution of supplier qualification based on business needs;
•    Provide QA expertise for the Lactulose and associated manufacturing supply chain;
•    Drive investigation of product performance issues, providing solutions supporting the site, e.g. deficiency questions;
•    Support execution of product/process improvements and compliance projects for all proposed manufacturing or regulatory changes;
•    Embeds the technical expertise and knowledge in the operational QA team in Victoriaville on manufacturing, tests and release of Lactulose;
•    Promotes continuous improvement, innovation, simplification aligned with Abbott and EPD strategy;
•    Support the continuous improvement of the product(s) with cross-functional scope;
•    Embeds and drives appropriate risk-based decision making;
•    Maintain the Supplier Qualification Program;
•    Assist the QA Director to complete the internal and external audit program;
•    Execute and / or participate in internal and external quality audits;
•    Support exception events and CAPA, from a technical QA perspective ensuring events are appropriately assessed for impact and documented;
•    Support process changes which have a quality or regulatory impact, ensuring timely communication and implementation of changes in line with regulatory requirements;
•    Support the PQR (Product Quality Review) and monitoring reviews (water system, pest control, environmental monitoring, stability programs, compressed air system, cleaning program);
•    Support and replace Quality Specialists when absent.

Required Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education at a relevant scientific discipline or other technical/scientific, or industry experience with sufficient exposure to pharmaceutical or related industries;
•    Comprehensive understanding of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing and GMP’s requirements;
•    Experienced of the Pharmaceutical industries or GMP controlled industries;
•    Knowledge of international and local quality system and compliance legislations and standards;
•    Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
•    Facility to use computerized systems;
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English;
•    Sense of organization, autonomy, and leadership.
