TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst (Michael Kors USA, Inc., 11 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036)
DUTIES: Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with procedures and regulations. Analyze budgeting and accounting reports. Responsible for supporting the retail store divisions with budgeting, forecasting and other adhoc store KPI analysis. Manage US & CA retail store P&L and capital expenditures, including the preparation of financial budgets, monthly forecasts, and reporting. Partner with accounting team on month end journal entries and accruals as well as investigate general ledger entries to ensure proper coding. Analyze US & CA retail store P&L and provide commentary on variances against budget, prior forecast, and LY results. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Financial Analyst, or related occupation. Must have two (2) years of experience in the following: 1) Management of revenue and expenses in profit and loss; 2) Recording or reviewing journal entry accruals and reclasses; 3) Working with US GAAP standards and procedures; and 4) Analyzing business KPI data.
