Trainee Parts Assistant

The Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated Trainee Parts Assistant to help manage the daily operations of our client's parts department. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the parts department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organise inventory
- Order and receive automotive parts
- Assist customers with parts inquiries and sales
- Process and track parts orders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts
- Conduct regular stock audits and adjustments
- Handle returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect parts
The Ideal Candidate:
You will be proactive and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. While previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, our client provides on-site training to help you succeed.
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in stock control and invoicing (preferred but not essential)
