Reporting to the Clinical Procurement Adviser, the post holder is responsible for making the vital link between Clinicians and Procurement. To enable informed, best value decision making in relation to clinical products, to create and deliver interdepartmental cost control programs and sustainable solutions. To manage the interface between the clinical and procurement functions and thereby drives change, innovative procurement practice and contract compliance to drive out costs and improve patient care. To provide clinical support and advice to the procurement team and liaises with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance in the use of agreed standardised products, ensuring the range of items within catalogues is rationalised to an optimum level. To work collaboratively with Suppliers and Product Evaluation Groups to access and change products to support the delivery of the Trusts Green Plan and Cost Improvement Plan.
