As the Head of Corporate Finance, you will oversee the corporate finance functions of the company.
You will work closely with the founders to analyse financial performance, provide insights and implement programs to drive profitability. This role entails, developing business plans and financial presentations, performing simulations and analysis, compiling monthly updates, conducting valuations, budgeting and forecasting, as well as engaging investors and shareholders.
Job Description:
- Drive fundraising efforts and investor relations
- Develop and implement financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
- Arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
- Monitor and report on financial performance of projects and company by producing and presenting accurate financial reports to specific deadlines. Oversee the finance team and ensure timely closure of the monthly accounts
- Monitor, interpret and managing budgets & cash flows and predict future trends
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue
- Research, analyse and report on factors influencing business performance. Run simulations and scenario analysis.
- Support the formulation of strategic and long-term business plans. Analyse competitors and market trends
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation. Ensure compliance with local annual, interim and quarterly statutory and group reporting requirements under FRS and IFRS
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Finance / Accounting or equivalent
- An appropriate finance qualification (CPA, ACA, CFA or ACCA) will be advantage
- Worked in investment, fundraising or investor relations function for at least 5 years
- Dealt with all levels of employees from workers to senior management
- Worked in companies undergoing rapid growth and/or significant improvement programs
- Worked in both local and international companies
- Start-up working experience will be added advantage
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of all key elements of finance and accounting
- Excellent in presentation skills and ability to develop professional presentations for audience with finance background
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Good knowledge and understanding of business relevant insurances
- Financial reporting standards in Singapore and other countries in the region
