As part of our business expansion in Singapore, InterOpera is looking for a Head of Finance to shape and guide the financial direction of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
About InterOpera
InterOpera is an operator of digital exchange for sustainable commodities and provides blockchain infrastructure for all types of assets. InterOpera reaches its clients through two main channels: (1) OperaX, a next-generation exchange for trading digital sustainable commodities; and (2) Nexus, a digital infrastructure suite. OperaX positions itself as the most buyer-centric exchange, offering a seamless experience for buying, trading, and holding of digital renewable energy certificates and carbon credits. The Nexus suite comprises three platforms: Digital Asset Issuance, Digital Warehouse, and Digital Highway. These platforms serve as digital infrastructure building blocks and are available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.
Shareable Asset (wholly owned by InterOpera), is a digital securities platform that holds a Capital Markets Services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Shareable has obtained approval for STO (Security Token Offering) operations, further expanding its capabilities in the digital asset space.
Our roster of investors includes Korea Investment Partners (one of South Korea's largest VC firms), Kakao Investment (CVC arm of Kakao Corp which is one of the most influential technology companies in South Korea) as well as Vertex (the VC arm of Temasek Holdings), amongst other highly regarded investors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, tax and consolidation
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business plans
- Manage the company’s financial accounting system
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the company's financial data.
- Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
- Work with senior management to develop and execute business strategies including fundraising activities.
- Liaising with external auditors
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of proven work experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A highly motivated and ambitious individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- A proactive individual with a strong sense of purpose and urgency
