Roles & responsibilities:

• Source and procure parts and services for all direct and indirect spends

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best deals

• Implement strategic procurement, including negotiating long term contracts with vendors to lock down stocks and prices

• Monitor critical vendors on their on-time delivery performance, quality and price inflation

• Communicate with vendors on issues related to poor performance or feedback from Production and Customers

• Liaise closely with Planning and Production to provide regular updates on delivery status of required parts or services

• Liaise with Quality Assurance and other stakeholders to develop or qualify new suppliers before adding them to Approved Vendor List

• Manage the end-to-end procurement processes of sourcing, obtaining quotations/bids via invitation to quotes / tenders, evaluation and purchase orders processing and ensure that they are performed in accordance to organization Policy & Procedure.

• Perform negotiation with vendors for best price and terms and conditions. Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce overall costs.

• Converting Purchase Requisitions to Purchase orders. Ensuring that all necessary document, correct data and information are obtained before the conversion.

• Following up purchase delivery and monitor outstanding purchase orders. Review and close off all outstanding purchase orders within the expected timeframe.

• Prepare/review of approval papers with users.

• Ensure all purchasing activities are with approved authorities, compliance and conformance to governance. And understanding the risks of non-compliance.

• Build strong working relationships, provide procurement support and guidance to business units. Assist to resolve impromptu and urgent users requests.

• Using inventory data to manage stockholdings and economic ordering quantities.

• To assist in monitoring and reviewing of contract compliance.

• Participate in company yearly Stock Take activities.

• Managing supplier performance through systematic tracking activities

Requirements:

• Diploma Supply Chain/Logistics management or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement function in a manufacturing environment

• Good understanding of Standard Operating Procedures or Work Instructions; knowledge in ISO 9000 or ISO 13485 will be a plus

• Knowledge or experience in using SAP Business One is a plus

• Must be prepared to work in a start-up environment, be results oriented, with a high level of integrity and dependability
