What You Will Do:

The Human Capital Business Partner Lead role serves as a Strategic Business Partner to Practice Leaders, Partners, and Staff for the Digital Health and Digital Life Sciences Practice Area(s) on all aspects of workforce management and support. In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively and in a consultative fashion with the Director, Human Capital Business Partner, all other Human Capital Business Partners as well as leaders in the Line of Service to effectively align workforce strategies and practices with business objectives.

The Human Capital Business Partner will collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and provide HR insights to drive organizational effectiveness. They will also provide strategic, business-focused support on all matters related to employee and organization development, talent management, succession planning, leadership development, performance enablement and employee relations. In addition to the critical connection to Line of Service leadership, the Human Capital Business Partner will work collaboratively with Human Capital Center of Excellence COEs (compensation/rewards, benefits, workplace relations, recruiting, talent management, people, and culture, learning and development) to ensure delivery of value-added service to all employees that support business objectives.

A successful Human Capital Business Partner will efficiently manage employee relations, provide policy interpretation, and ensure compliance, coach and mentor employees and leaders, provide education and training to People Managers, leading employee engagement and retention efforts, and collect and analyze HR metrics. In addition, The Human Capital Business Partner, will be expected to successfully partner with the Talent Acquisition team to define the talent acquisition and management for each functional area they support.

A key part of the role will also include functioning as a change agent to the business, assisting in processes, process improvement and approaches to support and enable continued evolution of the organization to align with market conditions.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to function as a full cycle HR Partner within a fast paced, dynamic environment. Additionally, they will have a broader focus on metrics and monitoring/analyzing data and trends to identify potential opportunities.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university plus 6+ years of professional experience OR 10+ years of professional experience in lieu of degree.

• Experience working in a mid-size or large technical or consulting firm organization.

• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.

• Analytical and critical thinking; must be able to relate to team leaders, some of whom are highly credentialed, analytical by nature as well as by training and who apply intellectual rigor and critical analyses to all business issues and decisions.

• Incumbent must be able execute in a manner that is perceived to be people centric; effective; non-bureaucratic; and is marked by a high level of energy.

• Be able to keep current on evolving legal compliance, Human Capital policies, processes and practices, and work to ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices, employee relations, etc.

• Will be expected to engage on all facets of talent management and compensation management, staffing and management related activities and understand the depth and nuance of capabilities within and across the organization.

• Must be able to develop and propose creative, novel, and impactful talent solutions that support business objectives and strike an appropriate balance between building firm capability, speed of delivery, cost sensitivity and specificity of requirements.

• An ability to operate effectively and succeed within a changing, fast paced matrix environment with multiple cultures and stakeholders.

• Collect and analyze HR data and make recommendations.

• Experience working in a HC function with shared service delivery and strategic business partner model preferred.

• History of quickly gaining credibility and partnering with functional leaders and practice representatives. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and proven ability to make sound recommendations.

• Communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels.

• Participate in and coordinate the Performance Management process. This includes compliance, assisting in review of evaluation reports and results of the department in relation to established goals, and the ability to provide coaching and mentoring to staff to ensure continual improvements in performance expectations.

• Very strong excel skills including the ability to manage large sets of data and effectively summarize and present findings in both written and verbal form.

Summary:

• Provides patient imaging on a CD when requested; ensuring necessary paperwork is completed. Imports CDs into the PACS system when requested.

• Serves as a liaison between Ordering Providers and Radiologists and assists Providers with Radiology related questions.

• Orders x-ray supplies and maintains PPE by performing bi-annual lead apron checks. 

• Complies with network drills, CPR requirements, license renewal, CEUs and other network or health system requirements.

• Serves as preceptor to radiology students and new radiology staff members.

The key responsibilities encompass overseeing the creation and delivery of value from the supplier base, strategically mitigating risks, reducing costs, and consistently surpassing business and customer expectations.

Accountability extends to managing a $200 million expenditure for Corporate HR and Professional Services. This includes Corporate Communications, HR, Pension, Finance, and global consulting agreements. Additionally, it covers Total Rewards, incorporating Compensation, Medical & Dental Insurance, and other benefits, with a primary focus on the North and South Americas.

The role also involves the vigilant oversight and cross-business stewardship of a $500 million global spend. This spans Professional Services, HR, Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Travel, demanding a comprehensive approach to ensure alignment with overarching business objectives.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

• Collaborate with department management,  contributors, and senior leadership to develop and apply multi-year strategies for market conditions and organizational needs.
• Drive projects by guiding stakeholders, utilizing project management principles, and meeting timelines and deliverables.
• Evaluate cross-region opportunities, drive global initiatives, and provide consultation across multiple regions.
• Negotiate agreements with other organizations, establishing clear strategies and responses to various tactics.
• Systematically identify and evaluate risks within the category, implementing strategies for continuity of supply.
• Identify, forecast, and execute cost-out opportunities using a multi-year strategy.
• Create industry-wide networks, internal relationships, and subject matter expertise in the category.
• Use Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) techniques for innovation and competitive advantage.
• Apply expertise and seek input regarding technical, legal, geographic, and commercial facets.
• Guide stakeholders in multi-level negotiations to achieve desired business results.
• Negotiate contract language, provide recommendations, and ensure contracts with key suppliers.
• Regularly utilize a strategic sourcing process from planning through performance monitoring.
• Create market intelligence on global markets, suppliers, and key material indexes within the category

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

• Bachelor’s degree required for role; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 8-10  years of strategic procurement experience, or relevant technical / business leadership experience.
• Professional certification from related professional body desired.
• Experience leading strategic supplier negotiations with Big Four accountancies as well as Management Consulting firms.
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement category management, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and the strategic sourcing process.
• Skilled at presenting and interacting with C-Suite Individuals

Job Description

The Category Procurement Buyer for Professional Services & HR, reporting to the Senior Category Manager, Secondary Packaging, will champion strategic sourcing activities for HR and professional services across the North America sites. This position supports ~$50 million in annual spend and interacts with stakeholders across key functions such as HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Quality, R&D and EHS. This position is responsible for the implementation of category sourcing strategies, including day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality goods and services at optimum cost. The Buyer collaborates and works closely with other functions in the organization to implement Total Cost of Ownership improvement opportunities within the category.  This position negotiates pricing and terms with selected key suppliers; this position does not provide tactical planning or purchase order administrative support.

• Working knowledge of purchasing processes and supplier quality systems.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma process improvement methodologies or similar as an advantage.
• Expertise / mastery in desktop analytical tools (excel, databases, tableau or equivalent).
• SAP and/or other ERP systems experience as an advantage.
• Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills, with focus on identification of the win-win scenarios.
• Proven problem-solving ability to be given an issue and to work backwards to identify resolutions.
• Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work with minimal oversight, to be self-motivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objectives.
