Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and approve new/existing supplier registration activities through collaboration with internal teams.
• Perform comprehensive supplier evaluation process annually to assess the competitive edge of suppliers and to control sustainability risks.
• Management of conflict minerals non-usage by suppliers by obtaining non-use agreements and CMRT survey periodically, and lead on-site inspection as necessary.
• Review subcontractors’ credit ratings periodically and create abnormal credit activities.
• Monitor, approve, and resolve Accounts Payable/Receivables, and invoice issues with Vendors.
• Review and approve Logistics supplier payments monthly, engage in service contracts with logistics suppliers, if necessary, and perform Quarterly Business Review to update the logistics status.
• Coordinate existing process improvement with the system team by making suggestions and adopting new ideas through idea gatherings and make necessary adjustments.
• Actively engage in implementing EDI transactions with suppliers to automate information exchange between each parties.
• Prepare monthly profit/loss statement based on the monthly purchasing amount.
• Monitor relevant Key Performance Indexes (KPI) and make necessary countermeasures.
• Perform work within company and regulatory guidelines.
• Performs purchasing activities in compliance with procurement standards, controls, and ethical business practices.

Skills and Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 5-7 years of experience in a related field.

·        Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.

·        Experience with SAP or similar business/ERP systems.

·        Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills.

·        Have ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments.

·        Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.

This position is located at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Aerospace Components & Subsystems Technology Division. This Division leads the assessment, insertion, maturation, and discovery of military-critical electronics for future generations of AF C4ISR capabilities in anti-access and area-denial environments. The AFRL Trusted Electronics Branch (RYDT) conducts both in-house and contractual efforts focused on the development and validation of comprehensive design, integration, and control techniques for digital, radiofrequency (RF), and mixed signal integrated circuits including integrated circuit integrity and reliability, embedded power efficient processing, and reconfigurable computing.

Position Description:

KBR is seeking a highly motivated procurement specialist.  The candidate will take responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes. The candidate will process purchase requests from the customer determining a purchase vehicle for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies. Depending on the value of the purchase, places orders directly with suppliers using a purchase card or coordinates purchase orders with KBR procurement.  Obtains project charge numbers from KBR PP&C. Creates requisitions in CostPoint for purchase orders. Works with the customer to build sole source justifications, as necessary.  Receives and processes all orders shipped to AFRL Sensors Directorate notifying customer of receipt and providing packing slips to KBR procurement for invoice payment.  Approves invoices in OnBase. Procurement Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Identify, manage, escalate, and mitigate supply-based risks throughout the procurement life cycle in support of prime contract requirements, operational goals, and business strategy by effectively partnering with other functional groups such as Legal, Contracts, Compliance, Risk Management, or Finance. Procurement Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Identify, manage, escalate, and mitigate supply-based risks throughout the procurement life cycle in support of prime contract requirements, operational goals, and business strategy by effectively partnering with other functional groups such as Legal, Contracts, Compliance, Risk Management, or Finance. Title:

Principal Procurement Specialist

Under limited direction, Executes cradle to grave purchasing activities (including bid, evaluate, award cycle, execution of agreements, execution of changes, price and schedule negotiations) for a specific category group across all projects.  

•    Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.

•    Drive cost reduction initiatives in a specific Category/Project group.

•    Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned Category/Project group.

•    Identify corrective actions and measures in case of quality or schedule issues with suppliers

•    Works closely with Engineering and the projects

•    Assures that problems will reported timely to the projects and senior procurement management

•    Help locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future Category/Project needs.

•    Experience in purchasing or subcontracts, including bid, evaluate, award cycle, execution of agreements, execution of changes, price and schedule negotiations, and commercial strategy.

•   Experience working in a PMC capacity

•    Proven track record in cost reduction programs

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Reporting to the Corporate Procurement Lead this role oversees and performs the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with procuring of goods and/or services in support of various corporate functional areas.

The individual works within a small team with minimal supervision to:

• Contribute to the development of contracting strategies and advise internal customers on path to maximize the value of business objectives
• Solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
• Support with vendor registration and onboarding. 
• Ensure new or established vendors meet pre-qualification requirements.
• Develop, issue, and manage solicitation documents such as Request for Information (“RFI’s), Request for Quotes (“RFQ’s) and Request for Proposals (“RFP’s”) etc.
• Analyze bid packages to ensure competitive pricing acquired.  Evaluate bids and proposals, perform and document price reasonableness determination and ensure cost, quality and schedule meets business needs.
• Understand and negotiate the relevant market pricing and achieve cost savings
• Employ a full range of contract terms and conditions to protect company from risk and liability.
• Actively negotiate contract terms and conditions and work with internal requisitioners’ to fulfill business needs, and budgetary and compliance requirements.
• Understand and apply audit standards, which include company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform close outs of contracts, finalize financial records, and complete vendor performance evaluations
• Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
• Ensure best practices are implemented.
• Maintain Agreement files in accordance with established company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with executives, functional management, coworkers, and vendor representatives.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven record in commercial terms negotiation and cost reduction.
• Proactive and self-motivated team player with proven record of collaborating for success.
• Experience with e-procurement tools including SAP/ Deltek Costpoint is preferred.
• A working knowledge of the various types of contracts, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material types.
• Experience working with vendors and internal customers around the globe.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of SharePoint Online a plus.
• Experience or knowledge of Nintex Workflows and/or Nintex Forms a plus.
