This position is in the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation's Office of External Affairs. The Legislative Affairs Pathways Intern will assist with managing DFC's relationship with members and committees of the House and Senate including attending legislative hearings and assisting with various legislative research projects as assigned.
Duties include:
- Compiles information to determine the status of various program activities. Assists Legislative Affairs staff with research in preparation for Congressional engagements, including phone calls, briefings, and hearings.
- Assists Legislative Affairs Specialists in the completion of forms and maintenance of records or documents related to the work of the office.
- Assist in maintaining Legislative Affairs records and tracking systems.
- Assists with the preparation of materials to inform the Corporation on matters pending before the United States Congress that could affect DFC and its operations. Assists with preparing responses to Congressional policies, requests, and other developments.
- Assists in the writing of letters, talking points and memos for DFC management in both internal and external communication with government officials, Members of Congress, and others. Prepares correspondence as necessary.
