ROLE SUMMARY
The purpose of the Senior Director of Clinical Research role is to coordinate and lead the development of first in man (FIH), proof of mechanism (POM), proof of clinical activity (SoCA) and proof of concept (PoC) and dose ranging studies for novel biological and small molecule therapies in Neurology focused programs.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Director of Clinical Research will develop a disease specific global network of potential investigators and key opinion leaders (KoL) for the new therapeutic before PoM, SoCA or POC trial conception to assist in trial design, as well as management and recruitment of study, analysis, interpretation and presentation of results. Design PoM, SoCA or POC studies in consultation with KOLs and Pfizer project team members (Stats, Clin Pharm, Regulatory, Operations, etc.).

•Translate business requirements by business team into data and engineering specifications
•Design and build scalable data sets and products based on engineering specifications from the available raw data and derive business metrics/insights
•Closely collaborate with marketing and business stakeholders to define and implement the data engagement relationships required with partners
•Partner with Digital Engineering team and identify server APIs that needs to be instrumented for data analytics and reporting and align the server events for execution in already established data pipelines
•Discover and understand complex data sets, identify and formulate correlational rules between heterogenous data sources for effective analytics and reporting
•Successfully bridge engineering and business with ability to speak the common language of both
•Provide coverage on ad-hoc data and analysis from diverse partners and automate those needs over time
•Work hand in hand with the Platform/Digital and DevOps team for platform/tool enhancements, monitoring and alerting on various data pipelines and jobs
• Experience in healthcare, Pharma, and their 3rd party data is a plus.
Key Qualifications:
•15+ years of relevant experience in data analytics/technology and 8+ years' managerial experience.
• Extensive professional experience with ETL, BI & Data Analytics
• Extensive professional experience with Big Data systems, data pipelines and data processing
• Deep expertise in Data Architecture, Data Modeling and task estimations.
• Familiarity with data privacy standards, methodologies and best practices
• Practical hands-on experience with data technologies and Cloud Platform like Hadoop, Hive, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake.
•Expertise in Python, Unix Shell scripting and Dependency driven job schedulers
• Expertise in Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI is a plus
• Ability to understand API Specs, identify relevant API calls, extract data and implement data pipelines & SQL friendly data structures
•Familiarity with rule-based engines & tools for multistage data correlation on large data sets is a plus
•Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage work to tight deadlines and handle the pressure of executive requests and product launches
• Ability to deliver consistent high quality results while working in a dynamic & fast paced environment with extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work
• Strong communication, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for excellence across all disciplines
Education:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or EE, or relevant industry experience is preferred.
