About the Opportunity
To support our continued growth, we have the opportunity for experienced Mechanical Service Technicians to join our team in Queensland, on a permanent fulltime basis for long term maintenance contracts. These roles will be assigned to a 15:13 roster across multiple projects across Australia.
Reporting to Valmec’s Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, quality and effective maintenance, repairs and overhauls services on gas engines, compressor packages and power generation packages.
You will require a great attitude, exceptional work ethic, have the ability to work within a small team environment with a high regard to quality and a strong focus on safety. In addition, you will:
• Demonstrate a personal commitment towards all HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Permit to work coordination and completion.
• Ability to think on your feet, step up when required and be a team player.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• 3+ years in a similar position
• A strong focus on promoting a positive Safety Culture
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Type B Certified for Repair and Maintain desirable
• Knowledge and Experience with Gas Compression and Power Generation Packages
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Valid White Card
• Current First Aid certificate including CPR/LVR.
• Current Gas Test Atmosphere MSMWHS217.
• Industry Safety Induction (ISI)
• Ability to think on your feet, step up when required and be a team player
• Proven safe work practices/commitment to safety
• Ability to work without Supervision
